Hotel Lobby Etiquette on Outcalls
When a provider visits you at a hotel, is it typically expected of you to meet her in the lobby? And afterwards, should you escort her to the lobby? Socially challenged person here, so be kind.
edit:
I forgot to ask, if the hotel uses one of those magnetic card key operated elevators, then there is no getting around that huh? I suppose you can call and ask and avoid those hotels.

It depends on the woman. I much, much prefer that you stay in your room and let me walk the hotel alone. Now, providing clear and correct instructions to get to the elevators or your room is always a good idea. Wandering around lost is a GREAT way to have a hotel employee come over to "help."
And late nights? After 9 or 10 pm? If there is a side door, come meet me there and let me in. For me it is all about blending into the background if at all possible. I do not want the staff to remember me even a little tiny bit.

+100
The key is to be discrete, not draw attention to yourself. The best way to do that, stay in your room and let us come to you.
If you wish to walk me out, that's great because I like feeling safe when walking back to my car. But, I usually use valet parking though and tip them well to keep my car upfront and close.

I'm so glad to hear that. I think both parties don't want to call attention to themselves.

As a gentleman, I always go down to lobby if requested to help carry up the towels! Unless instructed to stray in the room! It’s like your married... you just follow instructions and you'll do just fine

LOL that was for me? Also, do you stray often?
If there's a key to use in the elevator, then have her call you right before she's walking into the hotel so you can meet her as the elevator door's are opening.

Interesting topic. I must say that nothing gets my heart racing before she gets to my room then the anticipation of the knock at the door.
Hotels that require keys to access elevators are too much of a pain and should be avoided for outcalls.

I like outcalls because other than check in im relatively unseen and discreet. You can use peephole for bait and switch as well.
The hotels that require key cards are better for relatively unknown risky providers I want to see. If they cash n dash they are stuck until someone comes lol. You can also be assured the elevator ride is limited to just you to, and not a sly pimp.....unsure where he forgot his swipecard before i choose a floor....lol happened once
But for reputables they are definitely a pain.

Im with the other ladies on this one. Let her walk in alone unless she asks to be escorted in.
I recently met a client for dinner, then we planned to go to his hotel afterwards. After dinner, I pulled up to the hotel (I was driving) and told him I was going to drop him off, park, and meet him at the room.
He didn't understand why. He said, "Lets just walk in together. Its nighttime and I dont want you alone." (He was a really nice guy and trying to be a gentleman.)
I told him, "I think its just more discreet that we enter seperately."
He said, "No, I insist. Dont worry. None of my colleagues are staying here."
After a little more back and forth, I finally said, "Look. I just had an outcall to this exact same hotel last night and have been here no less than 10 times already this year. Its way more discreet for ME to walk in alone!"
I hated to be so blunt but its true. When you are an outcall provider, inevitably, you get asked to visit the same hotels over and over and over. So the less attention we can bring to ourselves, and the less memorable we are, the better.

I greatly appreciate the info here.
I've only done a few outcalls to my hotel. Each time we met in the lounge. The gentleman in me says to meet her and walk her in and then escort her out after the appointment. Each time the lady declined me escorting her out. I simply wanted to be sure she was safe.
I never considered the ladies viewpoint.

AGREED... and guys take notes about providing clear instructions to get to the elevators or the room PLEASE lol ..i'm usually a night owl and i have the worst sense of direction and am totally blind (of course i usually have my contacts in but sometimes they bother me ..so ya) I remember several times in the past where I felt like a total idiot wandering around looking for the damn elevator, stupid considering my whole goal was to try and atleast give the impression that i was a guest there (otherwise why would i be in the hotel? lol). It's hard to not draw attention to yourself at 2am when you have NO CLUE where to go!

I do only outcalls. I give explicit instructions, but some ladies can't follow them.
I tend to stay in a hotel chain that has two different banks of elevators. I generally send an email/text similar to the following:
Quote:
Come in the front door and walk past the registration desk, bearing to the right. At the first hallway, turn right, and walk to the bank of elevators on your left. Take the elevator to the fifth floor. I'm in room 501.
|
If you can't follow directions, you'll wind up on the opposite side of the hotel and there is no room 501 over there.

Anothwer case where communication matters--as does the lady, the hotel, and a number of other factors.
I prefer to meet her and accompany her upstairs, but understand the other point of view and have done both. Communication is good.
