Hopefully this won't violate any guidelines, I have read them recently and I don't think it does..... so here goes.... If the mods feel that it does, I'll take my lumps like a big boy.
So I just returned to the lovely Gulf Coast from a 2.5 month visit to the beautiful San Francisco Bay area. I was all ready, had dusted off my old NightShift account in anticipation of sampling the incredible delights of the SF area monger marketplace. For those who aren't familiar, NightShift was the ECCIE of the west coast. There just isn't much on ECCIE for that side of the country.
Well, we all know what happened next. In the space of a week, BP, ECCIE, NightShift and so many others were gone like a puff of horny smoke. Now what the hell am I gonna do? Panic ensued.......
I already had my visit for my DFW overnight stop all lined up (see my review for that amazing encounter)
but I had only just started to look into providers at my ultimate destination. Crap!!!
So, two things saved my trip (and a bad case of blue-balls).
First, I found Switter. Good solid resource, but very provider-centric (not that that's a bad thing), no reviews being the main downside, also a bit difficult to navigate/use at first, at least for me.
That led me to a new (to me anyway) site.
https://privatedelights.ch Jackpot!!! My trip was saved!!
Easy to use, tons of local SF area providers and reviews of the same. Only 2 Providers from our area have listings there, so it is not "competing" with ECCIE in any real way.
I love ECCIE and I am beyond thrilled to have it back,
huge thanks to those who made that happen!!! The fact remains, that ECCIE, as good as it is, just does not have coverage everywhere. The CA forums on here are a barren wasteland.
So, my advice, if your travels take you outside the "ECCIE Zone", give those two sites a try. You will be glad you did.
