i was never a bigtime wrestling fan of the wwf/wwe etc. but back in my youth, before cable tv, we were lucky to get all 3 network channels (abc, cbs, nbc) on a good day (via the antenna on the roof). but if you lived close enough to a big city, you might get a couple local channels. and in the midwest, where i grew up, on saturday about noon, after the cartoons were over, we got wrestling for an hour on channel 4. and we thought it was real too. me and my neighbor larry dean never missed saturday wrestling with greats like Dick the Bruiser, Tennessee Ernie Ladd, Mitsu Arakawa, Pretty Boy Bobby Heenan, and fan fave Wilbur Snyder...billed as the 'Worlds' Most Scientific Wrestler'. good times. and way before cable tv made such huge stars of many.
