This was a disaster. Rising sea levels completely submerge a town in the Mediterranean. Fossil fuel will lead to the demise of our coastal cities, just like this example. This city was 2 miles from the shore line. New York City and Boston abut the shoreline, and are in peril.

Speaking of burps, have you ever heard of the "big burp" Standin in Shit? 60 million years ago the climate changed almost overnight when much of the methane trapped on the ocean floor flashed to gas. The methane is there again and we could use it as fuel but the anti-science left would be opposed to real science progress.
