Interesting post. I will have to explore the matter more thoroughly. BTW have you ever researched the effects of MTBE which was forced upon the refining companies by the EPA before they understood the consequences of such actions?

Apparently there are now entire areas of the country where MTBE has contaminated the water supplies and they are now condemned for public use. Largely on Long Island and in areas of California because it only takes 1 drop from an eye dropper to contaminate billions of gallons of water for consumption.
