Default Thinking About Changing My Handle

Well, after watching the Mavs kick the Laker's ass lately, I am considering changing my handle from SASpurfan to SAMavfan!

SAS (or is it SAM now?)

I think it would be a great move.

......you haven't changed it YET?, LOL.... what a great victory!! I am A MAV'S fan and I am ready for Carlisle to "call the dogs off", this had become hard to watch. How fucking embarassed has ALL of the LA crew gotta be?

Great win for Dallas! Gonna be a buncha partying in about 5 minutes!

It's time to change your handle. The Mavs utterly destroyed the Lakers today. Kobe was the only Laker who maintained mental control. The rest of them were so humiliated they regressed to ghetto-style play. Bynum should be suspended without pay for a season.

Should Jason Terry also be suspended for his antics as well? He has regressed to ghetto style play as well. Just curious to what level your concern for player conduct runs.

Are you fucking serious?? Suspended for a season. That's the dumbest shit I have ever read on this board. Just curious, did you watch basketball in the 1980's?? If so, do you remember Kevin McHale doing the same thing to Kurt Rambis? Was that "ghetto-style play" as well?

Have you ever played sports? If so, you get frustrated sometimes and you do dumb shit out of frustration - nothing more and nothing less. Don't overreact and go nuts over a dumb move by a really good kid who made an extremely stupid play out of frustration.

It's called righteous indignation. Up in arms when it happens only to and by select players.

I don't like that Bynum did it. Dumb and classless move by a kid. Remember, he is a kid L4L. Terry can "justify" why he did the dirty deed all he likes by saying it was sending a message. So sending a message then is ok but not now?

Please. IF you really don't like it you shouldn't like it no matter who does the shoving.

Fair points. I admit I was pissed off by what I consider unsportsmanlike 'sore loser' behavior. By ghetto style, I meant school yard rules: If you can't beat 'em, hurt 'em. I've seen it in hockey and football too.

And that is the number one reason I was unwilling to watch the game. I recorded it and planned to watch after all the Mom's day activities were done. I was not going to watch a bunch of athletes put out a poor performance because they were beaten. Same reason I didn't watch the deciding game against the Celtics in 2008. They gave up and that is not why I watch basketball.

I hope the league comes down on Bynum hard for that foul but more than few games is not justified.

I love the Mavericks but your new name would sound like you are a fan of dude named Sam who works in the audio visual department. Just saying.

Bynum was given a 5 game suspension to be served next season. IMO, it should have been 10, but I can live with it.
