Wtf!

I recently had a provider text me that she had an emergency and we needed to talk. I was like oh shit..turns out she was stranded and needed a ride. I did not want to be rude but I waited a while before I decided to give her a ride because I have heard stories of robbery etc..i showed up at her location which was outside a bank, as I pull up I see two police cars, I could not see them from the street. There were two plain clothed individuals walking away and two police officers in her immediate vicinity (within 5 feet). I did not text her to let her know I was in the area. She did notice me and came to my car and got in. I asked her wtf? She said they were not there for her and that I should have text her to let her know I was close. Wtf did I witness? I had a very distinct impression it was a cooperative situation. I had no contact with LE but I really didn't like the situation. Thoughts?

Id guess it was probably random. Why would they meet on the street in an odd place if they were setting up something?

I don't think it was setting something up. She may have gotten hit then needed a ride?

You picked her up at the police station or jail?

It was one thing to be careful, it is another to be completely paranoid.

You said she was outside of a bank, and there happened to be a couple policemen in the area, not totally surprising.

You are doing nothing wrong with responding to a request for a ride. Nothing to question there.
It's natural to be suspicious but all you did was help someone.
The fact that you may have called her phone means nothing. Was she selling a car on Craigslist at some point? Maybe, maybe not.
If ever questioned by LE just answer in minimal amount of words. Don't volunteer anything.

Whenever I am going to meet a provider there are cops everywhere and they are all looking at me.
