obamacare individual mandate
http://www.scotusblog.com/2012/06/th...plain-english/
https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/...nal-challenges
obamacare individual mandate which is better known as Individual Shared Responsibility fee.
the supreme court in a series of rulings on it. I should say convoluted rulings that undermined each other.
they said the individual mandate is constitutional because it is a tax. Congress had authority to create one.
in another part of the ruling, the court said the individual mandate was unconstitutional as congress didn't have the power to force people to buy a product under the commerce clause.
the 2 rulings are in conflict with each other.
I think this is where Donald can issue an executive order not to enforce the individual mandate or order the health dept to rescind the rule or both.

He can also stop the subsidies to insurance companies which are against the law. He can also stop the 75% subsidies that Obama gave to Congress and their staffs to purchase HC. He is considering ending both of those. BTW, insurance companies are planning a 30% increase in premiums in 2018. TY John McCain.

Thank you trump for the increase. They could fix this but trump would rather burn everyone, even his supporters, and see if that gets his way.

This is Odumbo's doing, jackass. Odumbo propped up this piece of shit dim-retard legislation with illicit funding to keep it afloat. Trump needs to pull the plug and end those illicit Odumbo set-asides -- thus pulling aside the curtain to reveal what a monstrous POS program Odumbocare really is.

He bloody well should end Congress's subsidies.. THEY GOT it under a false pretense that congress classifies as a 'small business'..
IMO Congress should NEVER BE allowed to exempt itself from following any law/regulation they make everyone else abide by..

Trump didn't pass Obama Care, Trump didn't pussy out and not repeal Obama Care. Trump doesn't own the fiasco which is Obama Care. A majority of Americans would give him a standing O if he repealed Congresses subsidies for Obamacare. You jackwagon.

More precisely: Senators Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn.; Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va.; Susan Collins, R-Maine; Dean Heller, R-Nev.; John McCain, R-Ariz.; Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska; and Rob Portman, R-Ohio. They have some 'splaining to do to their constituents who put them in office.

Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn. .... - terms up in 2021
Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va. - terms up in 2021
Susan Collins, R-Maine ...... - terms up in 2021
Dean Heller, R-Nev. ......... - terms up in 2019
John McCain, R-Ariz. ........ - terms up in 2021
Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska .... - terms up in 2021
Rob Portman, R-Ohio ......... - terms up in 2023
problem with this is that most of them aren't up for reelection.
heller is vulnerable.
Jeff Flake who's a never-trumper is up for re-election next year.

besides term limits, the terms of the senators as an elected body need to be reduced from 6 years to 3. 6 years was ok for an appointed senator who answered directly to the states, but not for an elected senator who is heavily influenced by voters most of whom have short term memory issues.
the corruption & rot in the senate took 100 years to complete. the rot started 35 years ago and the corruption set in as a result of it.
