Default Fétichisme du pied

Trigger warning: This is a foot fetish thread. I know at least one provider that hates it vehemently, that's why I didn't even say "foot fetish" in the title so no one that doesn't want to be exposed to it has to even see the term. What a mensch, right?

I personally kinda hate the term "foot fetish" even though I do have one. It just conjures up thoughts of creepy guys sneaking in and sucking toes of sleeping women at night, stuff like that. Don't get me wrong, I will suck the hell out of some toes - but with permission.

It's thought to be the most common male fetish. I believe I've seen it estimated before that as high as 10% of the male population has some form of it, but that seems too high to me. Maybe not if it included all related forms, like shoe fetishes, nylon/pantyhose fetishes, high heels, etc. I think it's hard to estimate because it also seems to go along with a fair bit of shame and concealment of it for many of us. It would be interesting for providers to take a guess at what the true percentage is based on their experience.

I've been pretty open about it with providers and generally met with acceptance, which was great and somewhat unexpected. One lady who knew even busted out some oil and unexpectedly gave me a footjob (yeah, that's a thing) as a surprise last time I saw her! Awesome!

As I alluded to previously , there are many different permutations of this fetish. I personally like 'em well cared for - freshly pedicured and smooth. There are guys who like dirty feet, unkempt, etc. Not my thing but I certainly don't put down anyone's preferences any more than I'd like mine put down.

I'm hoping this will be a conversation starter. Anyone chime in. I'm really interested what the ladies think about foot fetishes. Love them? Hate them? Would like to accommodate it but are too ticklish? Don't understand it but are happy to accommodate it? (the most frequent case in my experience). I'm also happy to answer any questions on the topic.

From what I've been reading it sounds like what I and most other people who think of themselves as foot fetishes have is really partialism:

(from http://www.yourtango.com/201066166/w...-foot-fetishes)

"Men or women with a true foot fetish usually cannot become aroused without totally focusing on the partner's feet," says Dr. Goodstone. "Men, or women, with a partialism toward feet may enjoy their partner wearing high heels, having toes that appear perfectly lined up, or some other aspect that they prefer, but they can also become aroused by the touch and other aspects of a partner's appearance or presence."

So foot fetishism is when someone is sexually aroused by feet alone. Foot partialism is when a person simply finds feet attractive. How common is an actual foot fetish, though? Dr. Goodstone says that, in her experience, it isn't all that prevalent.

"To put things into perspective, as a practicing sex therapist and marriage counselor for more than 25 years, I have worked with only two men who had real foot fetishes," says Dr. Goodstone. "There has to be a distinction made between 'partialism,' a focus on one body part that is found to be most arousing versus 'fetishism,' a focus on one body part that is often the only means of sexual arousal. There do not appear to be valid statistics on the prevalence of foot fetishes, but in my working experience the prevalence is quite low. Of course, this could mean that some people with extreme foot fetishes have not sought therapy because their fetish does not appear to harm anyone and they do not feel a need or desire to change."

Women's feet are No big turn on to me but I love a foot massage, in part due to often having to stand much of the day. It was a real turn on to me when I asked Brittany to massage my feet toward the end of a session and she brought out a foot soaking tub and gave me a foot massage and pedicure. She always went above and beyond, but that is another topic that is for the past.

Rocky, that is sensuous and hot. I wished that I had seen her back when she was a provider.

I find fetishes fascinating, from both a psychological and sociological standpoint. While I can understand and empathize with feeling strongly in either direction, be it predilection or aversion...I find foot fetishism pretty fun and harmless. I haven't had the opportunity yet to really explore it much, but would be more than happy to.

Thanks Jane! It is great to hear a provider's perspective.

One thing ladies should know...if you like foot massages, get yourself a foot fetishist. The very definition of win-win!

One question that has come up is "Why?". The answer is I don't know, any more than most guys could express why they like boobs, butts, etc. (which I also quite enjoy BTW) - they just do. Like them, I didn't choose it. I do have an "origin story" however - which from my reading is oddly common to a lot of foot fetishists - being able to pinpoint exactly when they realized it.

It was biology class in school. The seats were on tiers and I was sitting behind a cute girl. She was wearing those Dr. Scholl's sandals (not sure if they still make them today) and I was in the tier above her. I happened to glance down and she had them off and was fidgeting and flexing her bare feet all over the place Then, boom! I had the weirdest boner. Didn't even know there was such thing a foot fetish then, but it didn't take me long to catch on that it wasn't considered "normal" (whatever that means), so I concealed it for many years. I'm still not open about it with anyone except sex partners and uh, anonymous strangers on internet forums!

Inability to function sexually without the presence of or a focus on the fetish object is pretty much the clinical definition of "fetish".

A lot of what we casually call a "fetish" is actually "partialism" (think of "fetishes" on things like partner's ethnicity, etc.).

Cheers,

Indeed. I just stick with the commonly used but incorrect definition because it's easier than explaining the difference between fetishism and partialism all the time.

One thing I don't understand is how often this fetish appears to be associated with femdom. I have nothing against that for those who enjoy it, but I certainly have no desire to be dominated myself, despite having the fetish. I suppose it's just a different context - in femdom it's just one of the many things the dommes use to "degrade" men and it isn't really the focal point.

I don't understand the appeal of BDSM myself, but then again... I'm so plain vanilla I fast forward through the girl-on-girl scenes in porn, and I have no desire to participate in a gangbang or even a threesome.

That said, I'm not sure the foot focus in femdomination is strictly an appearance of foot fetishism. I think it's more the cultural context of "underfoot" symbolism as a symbol of placing someone under submission (not necessarily sexual submission, just submission to one who has vanquished you. But then again, I'm not a headshrinker and I surely don't play one on TV.

Cheers,

bcg

Good point. In femdom it could be something like 'Suck my toes, worm!' for the humiliation effect, as opposed to something being wanted by the guy who was a foot fetishist with no interest in femdom. Same activity but far different contexts.

I don't think I was supposed to be turned on by this. It was funny too!
