Ladies, do you file taxes?
Last year a realtor told me that I would have to have proof that I had been filing taxes for the past five years to buy a house. Well I’m 21; I didn't have such proof so I decided to start filing. Yes I want the beautiful house with the picket fence and lots of kids playing in the yard in a few years so why not? A provider friend came over last night while I was preparing my tax docs and she was shocked to know that I filed taxes. Ladies, do you file taxes? I don’t want to know HOW you do it. I just want to know IF you do it. I’m just curious.
Part 2 of my question: How long do you plan on being in the business? 2, 3, 4 years or forever... ?

I do and have been filing for years. The goverment thinks I am a man-scaper. I am able to write off just about everything, but my condoms.
Part 2 ... full time about 2 more years ... then part time for about another 2 years. By the end of 2015 I will be gone.

Yes, I file and pay taxes, yes I own the house with the picket fence and the kids running about....and no, this is not a business for me. Never was, and never will be.
If you ladies want a real job, then go out and get yourself a real job. This isn't it.

My CPA once told me that the IRS doesn't care what you do for a living as long as they get their money.
Brooke: LOL @ manscaper! I love it! 2013, I will no longer be in the business.
Tiffany: I've never looked at this as a job but as a business and one I love very much.
I'm sure a lot of ladies get into this business to make money to pursue their
dreams and fulfill goals. You have said many times that you don't but a lot of us do.
Too young to have own a home and a dozen kids but I'll have it one day and I can't wait!

Yes, I file and pay taxes every year. I have to in order to own the house, have a nice car and go to school.
Contrary to what some say.....this is a business or else you wouldn't be receiving cash for your services. You'd do it for free if the money didn't matter to a point. Some run it like a business and some don't. The ladies who are successful in this line of work are the ones who run it like a business.
I'll be out for good once my PhD program is over. I have to start it first though. LOL Next year is the start date.

That's true about the IRS...they even issued a separate business code for social escorts. In the various state codes they say you have to report income from bribes, embezzlement, etc, I'm sure it says something similar in the US code.
And good idea not to deduct condoms. Everything else should be fair game though (travel, website, phone, maybe some clothes, etc)
I did meet a provider the other week who said she didn't want to include this on her tax return because what if someone wanted to see it (bank, ex-husband in court, etc) and she'd have some 'splainin she didn't want to do.
Disclaimer: I am a tax preparer and think everyone should file taxes.

I receive cash to make up the fact that i don't work....it is my self support money to buy clothes, pay cash for my nice luxery car, stick bundles of 100s in a box in my cabinet, and going out money.
Im not trying to support a family or be successful with it, that's why Im married, that's his job.
Im sorry if i sounded catty earlier. I come from a Swinger background and I am well supported financially without being in the hobby. I really don't have an understanding where the average provider is coming from. At times, its to a fault. Im sorry if I had offended anyone.

interesting yet glad to hear you ladies look at this as supplemental and a stepping stone to get to where you really want to be. i often wondered if you all looked at it as "real job" with retiring benefits.

Well I know for one... a lot of providers here are single (myself included). A lot of ladies here ARE trying to support a family and be successful at it.
Two, When I get married I do not want to swing. Nothing against swingers but that's not my idea of marriage. If I were married and wanted cash to support myself I'd use my degree in marketing, get a "real job" and be faithful/loyal to my hubby. See? We're all different. That's what makes this world so beautiful.
Three, If you receive cash for providing it is WISE to pay taxes on it. If you're paying taxes on something it's left the "just for fun" category and entered the "business/job" category.
Tiffany: No offense taken. We're not all the same. People have their own reasons for entering the business.. me? Money, Power, Thrill.
Now this thread has been viewed 101 times. I'm guessing those that the majority of escort do not pay their taxes. That's ok too but tax evasion is very real. For those of you that want to file, check out this link: http://dating.com/escort-resources/b...tion/by-state/

Darlin', you didn't offend me. You can call it as you wish, but you if receive money for what you do, you're an escort. Its all a matter of semantics.

Hey love,
Haven't seen you around in awhile.
This website should help if you're looking to file. http://dating.com/escort-resources/b...tion/by-state/
Just select your state and go for it. It's very simple and you'll be glad you did .
