That is sad. I found this article, although not pertaining to this particular case speaks out about a view of a certain 16 deaths of prostitutes in the area and our views towards hearing about the death of a prostitute.

I have never heard of a serial "architect" murderer running rampant in Rochester, but, I do remember a skumbag, Arthur Shawcross. The investigators involved in those horrendous crimes, valued all those womens lives and there is no evidence that people looked the other way because they were prostitutes, in fact, all state and local agencies pulled all their resources togethor, no expense spared, and put that guy away through some pretty savy detective work and an awsome prosecuter.

The architect was an example not a real life situation.
The article post was fairly feminist, which I am not but was not apprehensive on the post due to the information within it explaining another POV. The client/provider relationships are not very socially accepted due to societies ignorance in the real exchange. They think you are all sex addicts with commitment problems and we are all have um habits to pay for by degrading ourselves.
I have have no habit to pay for and I freaking love this world, I feel free here. You may just feel the same too but apparently many others judge us as they do including the law.
Shawcross May have killed many prostitutes but his first killings were the rape and murder of a 5 year old boy and an 8 year old girl . . .that's enough to fuel anyone and any media taking away the factor of looking away due to . . .

I understand about the "architect" being a generality.I just feel if they speak in generalities instead of specifics, it turns people off because they really didn't speak of any specific situations or offer any specific solutions.Anyone can wrap themselves in someone elses unfortunate situation to further their agenda and that is what bothers me cause it dishonors those women that are experiencing troubles in their lives. The article spoke of alot of generalities but offered no specifics or common sense solutions .Not sure if this makes any sense, but am thankfull for your thoughts Chloe, hope you will continue to add to the discussion cause its always a thoughtfull pov from you..

they waited to long and wasted too much of our money... for my .02, bullets are cheaper than the coctail injection nowadays... quicker too... but we have elected these bleeing heart officials that feel that evey person, no matter how deranged, has the right to blame their sicko deeds on some kind of bad upbringing, or his dislike of the color yellow, or the smell of fresh cut grass... gee sus... you take someones life, especially with complete indifference, and again in my .02, waterboarding is just the beginning of your life sentence...

They're free to try, Doc, and that's the beauty of our system. But the legal definition of insanity is far more narrow than the clinical one. To qualify as legally insane, a person has to lack the ability to control their actions, understand the consequences of them, or else understand that what they did was wrong.
People with uncontrollable spasms or impulses ("maniacs"), people who suffer from hallucinations (schizophrenics), or people with such strong delusions that they may as well be hallucinating (Donald Trump), might beat a rap just as you say. But if this guy planned and carried out elaborate actions and then took steps to avoid detection, he's legally "competent" no matter how his mother treated him.

It is all very sad and a reminder of why we all need to watch out for each other...I also want to add my .02 I think it a shame how society so easily discards the not only those in our field but the homeless, drug addicts etc...we/they are no less important than a "socially accepted person"....I hope that made sense..
