Default Numbers game?

Today on P411, there are nearly 20,000 male members (clients) and less than 10,000 female members (providers). Here on ECCIE, there's no exact way to tell the sex of each of Today's Registrations, but a quick glance will suggest that the new membership is overwhelmingly male. Considering that women outnumber men in the general population, why are the numbers so skewed here in this world?

With the current state of the economy, there's been a lot of talk of "accidental escorts" joining the ranks. Well, I'm not quite sure the numbers support that thought. Or am I overlooking the UTR girls? If there was a way to add UTR girls to the overall population of escorts, do you think that would close the gap between the sexes?

Or...are men just more likely to engage in P4P than women? If so why?

*FWIW, I am not including sugar babies, etc in my description. When I say "UTR", I mean that the woman has the same common characteristics as a PRO, she just isn't visible on the traditional level...No website, no pictures, etc*

I sleep with a lot of gals that simply do not want to think of themselves as a "prostitute", "hooker", escort", "provider" etc....

So they cannot comprehend marketing themselves or worse having their services disected by a review process.....

But the number of waitresses, strippers, office girls, etc that are finding their way to P4P does seem to be increasing....selection is greater and prices are dropping....... They need to justify it to themselves in some other manner though....

dancers and waitresses that are at the luncheons at times comment about the "providers" that come.... often in very derogatory manners.....and how they could never do what they do......

Then they get dressed, put my money in their purse kiss me and say goodbye.....

I think men are just more comfortable with the lighting then the ladies....

I just wonder where you get your stats Whispers. Is this just your perception or do you have any evidence to back up your statement about all the office workers who are becoming P4P?

I find that claim fantastic at least. What happened to sexual harrassment in the workplace? Etc?

Sorry, I was too busy laughing at your previous comment, to see what else you wrote.!

I too am curious where you get your numbers from. I am sure experience constitutes much of your basis for your numbers, and I'm not discounting that at all. But those girls are not PROS. If you have to approach them first, take them to dinner, work your game/magic, she's not a PRO and not was I referring to earlier. I don't think they approrpiately fit into the example that was in my original post.

Do you not agree that in the visible world of professional P4P, there appears to be more male than female involvement?

I laugh at it every time it happens myself.....

Maybe I am so used to looking for it that I see it easier than others... maybe the fact that I am ALWAYS willing to take a shot at a lady that is open in her conversation lets me be more aware of it.... Maybe it's luck of the draw....

I disagree... when they take money and provide a service... they are all the same.... But lately...... it doesn't take a lot of "game"....... I was at lunch with Ztonk earlier...... a gal drops in his lap and a gal in mine..... within a few minutes I heard the gal in his lap rattling off what she will and won't do and I casually asked the gal in my lap what her "boundaries were...... A little while later I was getting a BJ... Z had left for the day.... Luck of the draw... if the first gal had dropped in my lap Z woulda won the qupie doll instead of me..

No games.... no "approaches".... ..

Yes... There does seem to be more guys online looking then ladies providing.....

But if there was any equality to that then you ladies would have little to no business and rates would be much lower......

yeah..... it is...... I have one texting right now struggling with the decision..... I just use the "friends with benefits" explanation most of the time..... That usually leads them to the troth better able to justify their actions.

Comments like this just assist me in maintaining a high post count as I feel you deserve a response.....

Yes... It is MY perception that more ladies are playing......

as to the work place...... I did not say in MY workplace......

But for example.....I had lunch with one of the office gals in a company located on the same floor of the bldng I office at a few weeks ago..... I kept running into her in the elevator with fast food and asked her if she never goes anywhere and has a nice sit down meal and she hadn't.... She accepted an invite ad she had a good sense of humor and in discussing her juggling work and school I commented lightly that it sounded like she would be better off with a sugar daddy instead of a job... she admitted to having "thought about it" but wasn't sure if she could do anything like that..... I told her to drop by my office anytime she thinks she might want to explore it..... She dropped by a few days ago and we did lunch again and she brought it up..... We will be exploring her "boundaries" later this week.....

As to girls IN the workplace..... It's no secret that I have slept with girls I work with..... Having owned and operated several clubs over the years it was rather commonplace.......

to be honest.... I usually hire girls I am already sleeping with.... and it is simply not something I personally ever worry about.... A very popular provider, currently very UTR, worked for me off an on for many years before becoming a provider and we engaged in P4P off an on over those years......

Girls that are by nature VERY promiscuous and P4P have very little potential for being able to initiate that kind of litigation.....

But in this economy.....with the current shortage of jobs for many..... I think people are taken advantage of....

A gal I had drinks with the other night dancing at Sugars had made a point of walking away from a well paying job after being offered a promotion that came with a condition at her retail job..... After finding not a single attorney willing to take her up on something that never actually happened she finds herself dancing and doing extras wishing she had just slept with the guy and kept the well paying job with benefits.....

I'm not saying it is right.....

Just that it happens....

I wouldn't presume to judge Whispers. Thanks for the reply.

I don't think I'd want to hire you to run any of my offices either. Right or wrong is one thing. Ill leave that to the religious types. But there is a matter of legal and illegal behavior.

Pray You never wind up on the wrong side of that chit.

And minus the little personal jabs it's good to have intelligent debate here.

Welcome back Mr kotter.

Well of course, Whispers; that's simple economics. If we take P411 numbers as representative of a whole, then:

Instead of being 2:1, it would be 1:1. And instead of $250/hr for professionsal companionship, it would be more like $125. This is not what I am referring to.

I am simply asking, why do males have more of an online presence in P4P? Is it because:

-Many escorts are not as computer literate as the average hobbyist?
-Do ladies feel they have more to lose by plastering their images all over the "interwebs?"
-Are men more willing/able to casually buy sex than women are to sell it?
-or something I am missing all together?

I'm just curious and thought maybe a few others would be too. Maybe not?

I think "facebook" shows that women as a whole do not lack in computer literacy.....

many probably do fear being tied to their "job" at some time in the future....

men can seldom "buy" what someone is not selling so I doubt that is it.....

MOST women I know that are aware of the boards simply want nothing to do with leaving any trace of their activities online.....

SOME of the ladies I know realize that they have far more to lose on these types of websites by interacting with clients other than to simply place ads...........

SOME seem to think that they are the only ones that can really judge for themselves whether or not a guy is going to be safe to see or not....

IMO the girls that are the SAFEST and the most SUCCESSFUL have their needs met while remaining UTR with a small but active clientele.... They've met a guy that shares with other guys with similar tastes and it's a much smaller version of what we see here.....

In the last year I've seen more guys as well as gals I know moving towards more select and smaller circles to market themselves in....

That may account for a lessening of female presence... I don't know but that's sp,e of my experience....

But in all honesty.... Ladies are looking for money...... Guys are looking for companionship..... I tell a lot of gals I know that many of my friends are shy introverts and if it were not for hookers and strippers they would have no women in their lives to talk to....

Even married guys..... I know guys married to what was probably the only gal to ever talk to them in 9th grade...... that never learned how to socialize.....

So they find boards like these and much of their needs are met solely through the interaction via PM and in threads with the few ladies that will take time for them....

I think a big part of it is that there isn't a huge stigma associated with a man paying for sex, or even having a sexual encounter with someone other than his s.o. Sure, men get caught, it makes a news cycle or two, his life is turned upside down, but then things go on, and you almost never hear him called out as a "bad father".

Women, on the other hand, are expected to be faithful and monogamous, and when they step out of that role, as empowered sexual creatures, they are immediately ridiculed, called bad mothers, whores, or worse, profiled on any number of news programs, racy pictures and emails get posted, and they end up being ostracized.

Many girls I see for P4P don't see themselves as prostitutes. Most know that they are, but would never admit to anyone else or themselves. Even the few that do admit it, never post ads for fear of being outed at some point in their lives. They would rather introduce me to their friends and family as a friend or lover than give away any possibility that I give them money.

Social stigma is a huge reason. Add to that, as much as some women say they want/need sex as much as men, women just aren't as driven by purely sex as men are.
