Love By the Hour

The human condition will make us seek
A love that causes the knees to go weak.
But many get lost and so fail to find
That life partner, so this weighs on the mind.

"Am I no good, a poor human being?"
"What is it they have that I'm not seeing?"
Loneliness becomes the soul's pollution.
Keep looking in bars is no solution.

Strippers, street walkers, ads in a paper
Too risky for me, need something safer.
I need the fantasy, a G.F.E.
Who's there for money, but also for me.

The day I found ECCIE, I saw the light.
Providers who shine like the stars at night.
They have stopped my world from being sour,
Even if it's just love by the hour.

Well, alarm o'clock this morning came too early.

And at times I feel like I'm just too damned weary,
...But then I go and look in on my son...

......that ol' sun comes beaming through

.........and we start our day together

And I say to him, "You know that Papa loves you,

Well now, little boy, you're Papa's Joy and Blessing,
...And I'm sorry that your mama went away --
But she left me with a gift I'll always treasure,
...And so that's why I thank God every day:

......time for bed, but what the heck --
(Micah smiles)
.........baby hugs and baby kisses

< for the record, a Rosisaurus is this stuffed dinosaur my ex (not his egg donor, she was never a real mother to him) made for him -- her name is Rose and so the name came from that >
