As a child, my parent's had rather risque lifestyles and high libidos so porn was readily at hand at both my mom's and dad's residences. I was a rather curious and precocious child especially once my education increased. One of my favorite reads was "Call Me Madame" from the Penthouse magazine. I even used the name Xaviera in my high-school French class.
We've discussed the different perspectives and reasons why ladies become providers as we call ourselves now; but this woman showed incredible class and ingenuity at incorporating her literary skills, life experience, political savvy and business acumen to build an empire. What an incredible story!

There are many other women we've celebrated for joining the ranks of the "oldest profession" as hookers with hearts of gold. They may have come into this realm due to sad circumstances, but stayed once they realized their own worth in being able to soothe those in need of a woman's touch or warmed by her selfless gift in giving herself. Not all ladies of the night are merely "in it for the money". Some find tremendous reward in bringing joy to others.
At a time when our world is suffering violence, apathy, economic strife and other woes, there's a growing need for human empathy and unconditional intimacy so that we don't forget that we are ALL under the same strains no matter what our specific situation.
Now is a time to CELEBRATE the fact that we have managed to maintain communities of hobbyists all around the world that remind us that despite its' monetary gain on one side, there is an EXCHANGE of equal value to the other in most cases. We at least have the tools at our disposal to insure an educated effort.
Let's all try to find something to cherish from our Hobby experiences that we can carry with us to reflect upon in darker times. We are after all... rebels with a cause!
