Contemplating A Visit To Memphis

Hey, everyone!

I was thinking about making a trip to Memphis towards the end of September and I was curious about the best (safest) parts of the city to stay in, as well as areas to steer clear of. Restaurant suggestions and any other general information about Memphis is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Most traveling ladies seem to prefer either the I-240/Poplar area or the areas surrounding Wolfchase Galleria, which is off I-40 about 6 miles east of Memphis. I would recommend avoiding the Sycamore View area, which seems to be the center of the Backpage/Craigslist crowd...

Not only that, but I've heard that area gets increased scrutiny from the local constabulary precisely because of its visibility on Backpage...
