Dillon's closeout on condoms

Don't know if it is just the store where I shop or company-wide, but today almost all of the varieties of condoms were marked down 50% on closeout. When Dillon's does that, it usually means that they will no longer be carrying the item. Every brand was involved: Durex, Durex Avanti, Lifestyles, Lifestyles Skyn, Trojan, Trojan Magnum, everything. Thought I'd pass this along to everyone to check your local Dillon's and see if the same thing is going on there. Guess the condoms weren't a big seller for them. Oh yeah, I stocked up.

Another reminder, condoms are eligible expenses for your flexible spending account or HSA money.

They are probably tired of them getting stolen. lol I have seen several times an empty box of condoms on a store bathroom floor...

HSA eligible without a prescription. Other OTC medications require a prescription to be HSA eligible this year with the passage of Obamacare:

Yes, the ones I picked up were October 2012. The shortest dated ones were for November 2011.

He's right, they are HSA approved. Bought some last year and the receipt had a note at the bottom for all HSA approved items (I'd bought something else too) and there it was. I turned it in and was reimbursed for it.

I had the same experience as Sens, and I was so surprised that I had to look it up when I got home because I thought it was a mistake.

I've been to two Dillons stores in Wichita and a few outside of the metro area and haven't seen them closing out their condoms sections, but that may be timing since it was last week.

I heard on the radio the other day that condom sales were down, that men werent using them anymore and didnt care about safe sex. My question to that is, shouldnt women also have been included in that statement, or is it just men who buy condoms and not women? Who are the men having sex with? If men dont care about safe sex, and it takes two to tango, then I suppose women dont care about it either, huh? We all know thats not true, or at least we hope not! I just found the announcement interesting.

Saw the same closeout tags and 50% off pricing in another Dillon's today as well. Guys (ladies as well), it might be worth your while to check your local Dillon's and replenish your supplies.
