To Respond...or not to respond..

I enjoy my favorite providers... These are the ones that really make you feel special and provide the intimate GFE experience that I'm looking for. As an old retired fart with an also retired wife it's difficult to get away. My "playtime" is limited...and I'm out of town a lot. During some of the long spans between hobbying opportunities, I like to email my favorites to let them know that I haven't forgotten them..and how much I've appreciated my time with them. No intrusion in their personal lives...or anything remotely close to stalking. We're primarily talking short greetings around holiday times like Christmas and Valentine's day.

It's interesting to me that some will shoot back a short but responsive reply. But others..some of whom have been a favorite... don't bother to respond. I guess I have to conclude that they want to keep it all business...and they have no interest in me other than when I show up at their door with money in hand. Having been at this for more years than some of you have been on this earth... I realize that this is all about fantasy. But ladies... a short response doesn't take much effort, is appreciated...and can't be bad for business (Guess whom I'm going to call when I get back in town?) Curious about your thoughts?

I do appreciate it when a client sends me an e-mail that is not "business" related. Sometimes I will respond immediately and then other times I will go back and respond to them just depends on what is going on. I do get forgetful at times as some may already know but I honestly do my best. I also do not mind texts or phone calls just to say hi from clients as well.

I appreciate the fact that my client took the time to call or write me an email. Depending on what's going on that day or if I'm on tour, I try to respond within a timely manner. I may or may not say a whole lot, it depends on who is emailing me and how comfortable I am with him. But, I will always respond.

I will always respond to your e-mails sweetie. No one likes to be ignored & I do appreciate clients thinking about me & sending me a little note. If some don't respond it just shows you who not to call again.

Interesting topic. The emailing aspect is something I occasionally think about. I operate on the assumption that providers have little to no interest in communication outside of the standard appointment setup. So even though I may connect with a provider and *think* she connects with me I usually do little more than send a follow-up 'thank you' email. I try to follow this policy because I wouldn't want to chance ruining a good connection by giving the appearance of being a stalker.

I have sent out short emails like Gramps and I have always received a reply. I guess I'm lucky to have picked some special ladies.

I have also been in the hobby for a while and I have found that there are 2 kinds of hobbiest-provider interactions:
1- the hobbiest is a walking wallet and the provider is a piece of meat,

and

2-there is some kind of connection or "friendship" between the hobbiest and provider.

I always try to have the 2nd type of interaction with a provider. I don't like the idea of using someone as a piece of meat and I don't want someone just trying to pry more money out of me. Generally, I try to be generous (and thoughtful) in one way or another with a provider with whom I am a regular. This can take several forms - gift cards, etc. It also includes a "thank you" note or some info that is germane to their interests. It is sometimes, but not always, something material. I am sure most guys can figure out something to do that will ingratiate them with their favorite ladies. In New Orleans it is called lagniappe - or a little something extra. It also should work both ways - and with most ladies who have been around it does. I have found a couple here and there who don't reciprocate and they get moved to the bottom of my list.

The bottom line - if you have been thoughtful and courteous, it should be returned in some way.

It depends on the provider. If I think I may want to send non-business emails later, I ask either in person or in a "thank you for a wonderful time" email.

I think like some have mentioned, depending on whats going on, I try to respond to those kinds of emails in a timely manner, but sometimes will read it and think to respond later and then space out and forget about it. Then as I go to clean my email box I may discover it and it may be sometime later.

+1 to Luxurie. The worst? I check PMs or emails when I'm out on my phone and then I do my daily empty and forget it even came in.
