The democratic convention was moving, especially the speeches of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. They actually saved the day. Here is as a short you tube video of Warren's dynamic speech:

You can sum up Warren's, and every other speakers speech, with one over riding thought.

"Vote Democrat. We promise to take it from them, and give it to you".

She wasn't my favorite last night, but she easily surpassed EVERY speaker who took the podium in Cleveland in terms of substance and delivery.

In fact, I look back at the GOP convention and can only conclude they had no fucking idea how to program a roster of speakers.

But at least they managed to invoke Lucifer...

Glad you brought that up, gfeaddict.

In Drumpf's convention.mthose protesters would have been beaten up and thrown out, just like they were during his numerous brownshirted rallies. And Drumpf, rather than urging unity, would have told security to get them the hell outta there.

That is the undeniable fact and a fundamental difference between the two parties this year.

It is why Drumpf stands no chance.

when Bernie spoke the crowd reaction was compelling when he talked about all the free stuff

when he talked about global warming, the supreme court and other things which don't give them any free stuff, it was rather muted

with warren, my satellite reception due to the rain came back towards the end of her rather desultory address. the repeated, "we're with her" mantra was uninspiring and delivered without fervor and quite boringly

It's too bad Shrillery didn't pick her for VP. They could get up on stage and ugly each other to death.

Ironically hypocritical, considering how, as they over and over declaim Trump, they hypocritically criticize the RNC convention as being nothing more than a Hillary put-down session. They're doing the very thing, in reverse, they criticize the Republicans for doing.

I have made it a point to watch every prime time speech. I also keep it on MSNBC to get the "full Monty" of Liberal/Socialist/Progressive politics in America.

I don't take someone else's word as to what happens and what is said.

For what it is worth, Michelle Obama gave a commendable speech last night. But it all still comes back to the fact that this Convention is about to nominate a lying, inept, despicable , money grubbing, sexual predator enabling cunt to be the next President of the United States.

I just cannot get past that fact.
