There may be a bidding war over the item.
There are collectors of notorious items that may include firearms.
I am guessing he needs the money.
Even self defense killing can wreck your life for a long time and most firearm owners are well aware of this. I do not include criminal thugs as "owners", they merely posses them.

I think it was the concrete sidewalk he was banging Zimmerman's head against. He tossed the skittles. Even though it was a fucked up situation, think about what you would have done. Taking into account you would have approached Trayvon which was stupid in the first place, but that's what set the whole incident in motion. Now consider all the things you know about the case. If you were armed you might have done the same thing. If you were unarmed how would it have ended? I won't speculate. I'll let you do that, but be honest with yourself.
