The future of porn

There is no denying that porn is a popular form of entertainment. But as with everything else, we eventually tire of the norm and look for new areas of stimulation. And besides better looking actors and higher resolution media, mainstream pornography seems to have changed little in the last couple of decades. Lately, however, I have noticed that there have been some incredible advances in the area of animation. What started as cartoon porn and Japanese anime has matured into an art form that looks poised to take erotic video to a new level. Think Avatar or Sin City meets Deep Throat. It combines the sexual stimulation of modern day porn with visuals and storylines limited only by the imaginations of the writers and animators. Imagine, porn that you don't fast forward through to enjoy. One of the companies I have been impressed with is StudioFOW. Some of their work is absolutely fascinating. Has anyone else noticed this new genre? If so, what studios have you found that excel at this type of production?

Ive noticrd that as well with animation getting better by the month. It shocked me at 1st to see what these porn vids are but then again..... it worked.
But also consider the future of porn to head into Virtual Reality with the Oculus Rift. It is only a matter of time until these scenarios pop up. And then maybe, a fusion of VR porn with those animated cartoon ideas.
Just think of the idea, fucking your own Lara Croft or Princess Peach. I mean, just looking at mainstream cosplay being the driving force many nerd/geek intrigue that is largely supported by oversized tits or skimpy outfits

There is a huge shift in porn. There is no longer a need for production companies, camera crews, shitty writers. Any chick can post videos on pornhub and share in ad profits.
cam shows arent very new but same thing applies. Gone are the days of magazines and vhs/dvd/tv porn.

I think one of the bigger challenges for porn going forward is figuring out how to get paid. There's no demand for full length features any more and no one wants to actually pay for clips. Sites like Porn hub can continue to sell ads, but they won't pay for content and their advertisers are likely to dry up due to no one wanting to pay for their pay content.

Porn has driven the technology improvements of the internet for years due to the bandwidth demand. I see Samsung has launched a VR device that operates with the new Galaxy S7.

I'm sure it will only work with VR content from Samsung servers, but at some point they will have to open it up to third parties if they ever want to make money.

I don't really get bored of the type of porn that I like to see. I mean, I like seeing sexy women getting plowed mish with the right camera angles. I will always like that...FOREVER. Napster gave us free music but the music industry was able to get control of the situation. Porn has an issue because it's not going to popular for politicians to make that fight. I feel the same about prostitution, it's not a popular fight even though so many people enjoy (obviously not as many enjoy prostitution as do porn).

Porn "stars" are a dime a dozen and I assume most films are minimal cost. As many of us that enjoy Pornhub for free, I'm sure they have lots of subscribers - look at Club Jenna, and don't discount the amount of revenue from advertising, ECCIE is a good example. I think the secret to porn being profitable and progressive is control of their content.
