A POLITICAL REVOLUTION

http://www.coachisright.com/a-political-revolution/

Quote:
By John Velisek USN (Ret), staff writer

The United States was founded on fundamental principles of morality based upon Judeo-Christian doctrine and belief. Americans had an abiding faith in the decency of their country and the integrity of its leaders. At present, however, partisanship is the rule of the day and future generations will pay the price as our politicians work for themselves rather than in the interest of the people. Only a resurgence of honor and patriotism on the part of our elected officials can restore the necessary respect for government.

In the beginning, the people of this great nation valued statesmen; men of honesty and courage who crafted policy in pursuit of the common good. They were leaders who placed their own careers second to the needs of the people and the nation.

The country is more divided now than at any time since the Civil War. Once a nation of shared borders, language and culture, assimilation of common standards is now actively opposed by the elites of both parties. The Obama Administration has done more than any in history to destroy the American way of life. Even our schools are teaching the young to be embarrassed by our country’s history. Past sins are used by academia, the media and the Democrat Party to cause fear and suspicion, segregating people into groups that are polar opposites of one another.

Lincoln quoted a passage from Mark when he said “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” The American people have been divided by geography, class, color and politics. The current President has caused deep rifts to appear in a country in which much racial healing had already been accomplished. There is less and less common ground as Democrats and Republicans alike lose the ability to compromise. Acting as the Uniparty, they have advanced the idea that challenges can be solved only by the government and that citizens need not involve themselves in the affairs of state.

We know where Progressive-Socialists stand and what they think of our country, but what of the Republicans? Speaker of the House Paul Ryan stated that it is the job of lawmakers to feel empathy for foreign nationals who want to enter the United States. But isn’t it really the job of elected officials to respond to the challenges faced by the citizens of this country? The past four decades of ignoring immigration law have led to a smaller middle class, lower wages, more Americans on welfare and more criminals in our nation, yet neither party has done a thing to stem the tide of illegal immigration.

The Muslim in Chief has bullied those that disagree with him and may soon even begin to criminalize dissent. A woman seeking the land’s highest office has achieved nothing but decades of scandal. In her official duties she has lied to the families of four dead Americans, yet still she may still be elected President! And when will Republicans stop rubber stamping everything Obama wants as they did when they raised the debt ceiling. When, if ever, will they grow a backbone?

It seems that Democrats are in politics to acquire power and Republicans to advance the agenda of the Chamber of Commerce. Perhaps both political parties need to go. There has been a large upsurge of people who believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. We need to elect leaders who take the founding principles to heart.

As a conservative I ask who those leaders might be. Could it be Cruz or Trump or Carson? One thing is certain: It’s long past time that “We the People” hold politicians accountable for their oath of office. Will it take a revolution; a shooting war to convince surviving office holders that patriots will no longer tolerate additional years of corruption or the trampling of our constitutional rights?

A revolution is close at hand in the United States. The American people will take up arms to re-establish their rights, or continue to live as virtual slaves, obeying every whim of the ruling class in Washington, DC.

Two hundred and forty years ago just 1/3rd of the public supported the American Revolution against King George. Of the remainder, 1/2 were loyalists and the rest afraid to take a side. It will be interesting to see how the math works out when the patriots of this century take on the current crop of tyrants.
