Obviously this is a question with only subjective answers. I am glad to share mine—at least mine as I see it this evening—but I make no claim that I am “typical”. I am not sure it is the kind of answer you are looking for, but here goes.

My advice is simply be the best version of yourself. There will always be gentlemen that appreciate the authenticity of someone whom is not trying to be something or someone else.

It also does wonders for your self esteem when you receive compliments. Being complimented for being an image or ideal of someone else's does nothing.
