The hobby ph and the random text

So I was reading this one guys rant about a provider randomly texts him out of the blue and his SO saw the entire text. Needless to say it was bad. Long story short saw the provider 1 time 3 months ago. The contents of the providers text was about how her car was fixed and she can do outcalls with a bunch of emojs.
I agree with him. When I got back into town I did text my long time people with a simple text say "I'm back in Austin". Either you knew who was or you didn't. Also I only text people at any given time if they have said it's ok to do so and they like the sexting.
Second part of his rant was "why should he get a hobby ph and to come with excuses as to why he has a second ph". Both side of the debate i can agree with but I still think it's a good idea to have one.
So hobbyist and providers do you have a oh shit moment of a random text and what's your side of the debate on a hobby ph.

If he's married and wants to engage in this business he has to get a hobby phone. An easy burner phone from walmart which he can pay for in cash without signing up for anything. Why should he get a hobby phone? because some providers will text him out of the blue. Also because his wife would most likely be able to get access to his phone records if she became suspicious. Same with internet activity, if she stumbles upon eccie, while typing in an url that starts with the letter "e", that guy would also be fucked.

I've been texted before but most of the providers who text me are cool/ smart enough to just generally say "hi" and wait for a response before divulging too much information.

Get a hobby phone, but if you get caught with it, it is hard to explain why all the sudden you have a secret phone. Mine is hid well and turned off except when I am free to play. But I have walked in the house with 2 phones in my pocket nervous until I can safely hide it once more.

One person gave a an explanation that he found the ph but it was locked. While waiting on a call to come through on the ph the battery died and he simply forgot about the ph. I thought that was great answer.

I use the app Textnow. I can use it from my PC or install the app and use it. I delete it off the phone when I'm not actively seeking a date. There is also a way to hide an app on an iPhone. I delete the app before I get to the house. Only takes a couple seconds And as log as I log in every once in a while I keep my #

That's what a lot of people were saying that the technology of today means that you need to have a hobby ph. Which brings up that please say the different apps or whatever you use. Hell i don't know if half of the stuff out there. I'm sure I'm not the only interested in knowing.

Burner apps are easier to use. You can turn off the calls and text instantly. No need to keep random phones around.

I agree with 7dust - google voice is easy enough to turn off when needed.
But I also think that providers shouldn't just text without permission.

I'm with Tammie and 7Dust on this one... 2 phones could be hard to explain and easily found. Set up a Google Voice number which you can use to call/text from PC or regular phone. Easy enough to remove access (unlink account) from phone when not needed.

I'm not married nor have SO, but this also just makes sense for safety reasons. It also helps me have a place I can keep notes to myself in the same account.. for longer periods than I might own the phone.

As for the computer... I'd perhaps recommend something like VirtualBox where you can run a whole separate virtual computer underneath your main. Any Hobby browsing, Google Voice accounts, etc can be kept there and not mingled with your more public life.

A lot of my married clients contact me via email. Since I get immediate alerts on my phone I can just email back and forth so there is no record of a phone or text conversation. And I'm with Tammie, I never text a client without prior permission. That's not good, not good at all.

"What babe? Why do I have an extra phone in my car door? I found it laying in a parking lot and there is a password on it. Throw it away if you want. It looks like a cheap phone anyway."
