You're referring to the Pope? I am rather disappointed in what I've heard and seen. Right now his popularity is quite high. I don't suspect it will last. Look up some articles from a guy named Eric Jon Phelps. He wrote a book titled "All Roads Lead To Rome" He mentions some interesting things about the Vatican and our politics in that book.

I'm not sure I understand the outrage. He leads a religious denomination. They aren't making political policy. It's no different than the religious fundamentals and what they're doing in the US, except they would love to affect political change based on their religious beliefs.

Regardless, The Pope will still be the Left's Useful Idiot.

He will probably be surprised when he gets back to The Vatican to hear that Homosexuality, Gay Marriage, Abortion, and a host of other agenda items championed by the Liberal/Socialist/Progressive/Democrat Left are now acceptable life style choices sanctioned by The Catholic Church.

I suspect the minute he left Cuba, the Communist Party sent out news flashes to all over the Island saying....."Pope Sanctions Castro Regime. Here he is sitting cordially with El Commandante".

No, it's the other way around. God created man. Now it's all gone down hill from there because man can't seem to get that through his head. That's one of mankind's biggest obstacles, he thinks his life is all about him.

Why would he be surprised by any of that? You don't think equality for all citizens is a good thing? And as for Cuba, things like that have been done since time immemorial. Is the Pope supposed to stay away for fear of how his visit will be perceived? Who gives a shit what the party in Cuba says. You think the Cuban people don't know what's really going on?

Life is all about us. It's all we have, this short time on a blue marble floating out in nowhere. God is a construct of man. We need to believe there is something out there bigger than we are, because the thought that there isn't is frightening to some. People are scared to believe they have no all-seeing eye watching over them and protecting them. Religion is absolutely a construct of man, a way to exert control by taking advantage of that very need to believe in something.
