My niece's husband is a recruiter for the Navy and for some odd reason his office is in a mall over run by Pakistanis. No shit. Unfortunately there is nothing he can do about it. This president doesn't know crap about how to be a world leader so suffice it to say we have to wait a year and a half to make change you can really believe in. My extended family has had many folk in the armed services and they can't see why they are not allowed in this day and age to defend themselves.

Simple concept that I always wondered why we (Americans) cannot grasp:

Everyone in the world doesn't WANT democracy! Let them decide what is right for them. Who are we to decide who is "oppressed"? Ever thought that culture and tradition means more to people than OUR democracy? For the record, yes, I'm an Black Male and yes, I voted for Obama in 2008, but I did NOT in 2012. Why didn't I? Because it wasn't about his color/race, but his agendas. I'm a registered independent, but many of my ideologies align with Republicans. I make very good money (not bragging at all) so of course I want to align myself with the party that helps me keep as much of MY hard earned money, along with a few other social issues. I'm a finance guy, it's my industry/profession. My views on our world wide involvement in EVERY country's social issues are based upon economics. Has anyone ever stopped to think that every world wide conflict that we are involved in cost us money? We (Tax Paying Americans) bitch and moan and bitch and moan about high ass taxes we pay, yet we truly never stop to think about why we are paying it. The people who bitch the most are the exact same people who think we need to "police" the world. Every time we involve ourselves in another country's tragedy or conflict or civil unrest it cost US (Tax paying Americans) money. Funny thing is we don't have the funds to cover the cost of all our escapades so in turn we borrow money from our biggest long shark (China). You know the china that is the richest nation in the world. Anyone ever stop to ask why? Because they don't make irrational/emotional decisions. They believe in "minding their own business". However they do initiate conflict in other countries, but why? So that their MAIN customer (US) can come begging to the red nation for another loan. Every week our vig gets higher and higher. While we are worried about forcing democracy down people's throats in the name of freedom, China is sitting back getting richer and more powerful. Why? Because they hold the power, what happens when the loan shark calls the note due?? Not to mention we are so over extended with our own military. it will be Impossible to protect our own interest here at home, because our men/women of the service are spread all around the globe.
Haiti, Mexico, Phillippines, middle east, afghanistan and parts of the old soviet block all with their hand out, but allow more USA flag burning than a little bit. Forgive me if I would rather feed the children in MY OWN HOUSE before feeding the children in a house that has resolved in their heart to forever hate me...
