We all know that you're just covering up for yet another tragedy that is, of course, your fault COG.

Worked pretty well, didn't it?

Seriously, I think we'd be in a different (better) country had JFK had a second term. I think VietNam would have been a footnote in the history books instead of a chapter. He also had plans for sound changes in our economy which would have taken us a different direction. And I think civil rights would have gotten off to a more stable beginning. Just conjecture, but it would have been nice to find out.

Did anybody see the show Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura? I missed it and forgot to DVR it but I wanted to see it because it dealt with the JFK assassination.

Couldn't agree more! American culture was ready for real change. Instead, we just ended up with more Texas cow shit.

I'm with you COG. Never underestimate Americans willingness to be fed a crock of shit. Look at all the rich televangelists.

Like Ron White says "You can't fix stupid".

COG - I agree. Since JFK was a fiscal conservative (he proposed tax cuts to increase revenue to the Treasury, for example), but a social liberal/moderate, he might have been the one President to prevent the divide that ripped the country in half in the late 60s - and still has reverberations today.

Does anyone still believe there was a lone assassin and a "magic bullet"?
