Default Etiquette question

I don't hobby a lot. When I do, I like to see new people typically, as that is part of the thrill of it for me. So when I am looking to hobby, it is usually on weekends, so I will go through the weekend lineup and provider ads and find a handful of providers that look interesting and PM/text all of them finding out about availability, maybe asking about rates, menu, etc. Based on who gets back and what I find out, basically the first one that I down to details with, I make an appointment with them.

At this point, I might have another provider or two that I have been texting or PMing. We hadn't gotten to the brass tacks of setting a time or agreeing to meet. So at that point, does etiquette say that I should tell them (as well as the 2 or 3 providers that always seem to respond to me the next day) that I found something else, or is it ok to just stop planning then assuming they'll figure it out? I admit that I have mostly done the latter, but once or twice, I got a harsh response from a provider for that.

I can blow off those harsh responses pretty easily if I am in the right, but if I am in the wrong, I would like to know so I am not an asshole in the future.

Just tell them someone else was quicker and you scheduled, you waste less of their time doing that If they haven't already started checking your references. See If they want to keep your info for a future appointment.
You shouldn't be getting harsh responses. Most of them realize you may have contacted more than one provider. They just didn't get the message as fast.

I would rather hear that you've already scheduled and that you'll keep me in mind for next time.

Well, the early "bird" gets the "worm." I have been there as well. I usually will say this: "Hey, thanks for getting back with me, but I've already made plans. I'll hit you up another time, or if those plans change because I would like to see you sometime." If they get mad, then would you really want to see someone like that?

I would rather hear back that way I don't keep time free 'just in case'.
If you have posted an ISO, just make a quick note in that thread that you are no longer looking.

I don't understand the need for anyone to get harsh, mad or rude unless you set something only to be a NCNS.

Since I have a time machine, I just go back in time and send the email to the late birds on an earlier date
Seriously, can't you plan ahead and get screened for tentative sessions the week before

SL is first come first serve! If I'm booked I tell them I'm booked. I then give them the next available day or time. If I get too busy I'll go TWO A DAY to catch up! Lets remember some of these girls are BAT SHIT CRAZY and some just lazy. I was just in the Welcome section and a providers states she will only be here Thursday-Saturday. But she placed the AD on Friday. Naturally I wanted to book for Thursday I just couldn't figure out how to do that nor could she! LMFAO!

I personally don't mind what you tell me. It's none of my business really.

I am never going to be sitting around waiting around for a just in case appointment.
Strangely, the phone seems to ring more when I'm out doing something else anyway; or when I've just started a new task, like painting my nails for instance. Ha!

That's just an offshoot of Murphy's Law.

Also, Murphy was an jerk.

Until you set a date and both agree on the time there's no commitment. That's why I like to always do the actual discussion of time on the phone. No one is left hanging with the bullshit of you suggest a time 3 hours in the future, and she replies 10 minutes before the starting time and says "OK."

If she replies and you've made other plans or changed your mind, just tell her that you're doing something else now. No need to tell her whether it's another provider or just plans for supper, but say so if you feel like it.

If she's a bitch about scheduling, she's probably a bitch in person. Consider yourself lucky you didn't actually meet up with her.
