Ever just have one of those days

Had a great thing going today. But life jumped up and bit me in the ass.

All set to see a lady that I've been missing by a day or 2 every single time.
I am in the car heading in that direction. I'm thinking about her reviews and really getting worked up and the phone rings. My son says Dad we are ok.
But we where in an accident and the car is pretty bad. Can you come get us.
Well damn

Thankfully everyone is fine and no significant injures.

I don't know what I'm the most upset about.

I'd say family first, brother, they are important. Just wasn't your night to see her. Hopefully you'll have other opportunities. Glad everyone is ok.

As frustrating as that is, and since I believe everything happens for a reason, I suppose you have to find the silver lining. There was a purpose in not seeing her that day.

Don't get me wrong family always has to be first.
It all worked out in the end. There are just times when you want to through up you hands.
But instead you set you course and navigate through the bullshit.
The sun is shining on the other side it just sometimes hard to see from where you are.
And
I did eventually get the prize at the bottom of the box.
And what a prize it was.
