The BIG story of 2014
So many things but only one is the BIG story. So which one do you think it is?
1. The mystery of Flight Malaysian Air 370?
2. The rise of ISIS?
3. The mid term elections.
4. Russia's move into the Crimea?
5. North Korea's hack of Sony?
6. Ferguson, MO and the Garner case in NYC?
7. The winter Olympics in Sochi?
8. Boko Haram kidnaps hundreds of young girls.
9. Clippers owner Donald Sterling has his team taken from him for speaking his mind.
10. Bergdahl is swapped for five key Al Quaeda leaders.
11. ISIS beheads hostages including Americans.
12. US begins airstrikes on ISIS.
13. US troops begin arriving in Iraq.
14. The missing IRS emails are found linking the IRS to other parts of government.
15. Supreme Court rules in favor of Hobby Lobby and religious freedom.
16. Israel conducts extensive military operations in Gaza for the murder of teenagers including one American.
17. The Russians shoot down (through their proxies) a Malaysian airliner flying Ukraine.
18. Ebola comes to the United States.
19. Eric Holder resigns as Attorney General.
20. NFL finds itself on the hot seat for spousal abuse.
21. Dozens of missing Mexican students found murdered.
22. Obama grants an effective amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.
23. The Virgin space ship crashes.
24. Colorado okays pot smoking.
25. World Trade Center (Freedom Tower) opens.
26. A space craft lands on a comet for the first time.
27. Some celebrity dies (pick one).
So which one has the most far reaching consequences for the most people? Which one affected you the most?

depends on how you define,"affected" me the most?
the Philae landing on Agilkia after being in space 10yrs, is the most interesting.
The rest are about people being people.
#20 the NFL isnt a law force, did your job punish you for breaking laws?
#24 why do people think it's ok that the gov controls what they drink, eat? recall the pilgrims came her cause the gov tried to mess with their religion. a girl I used to know lived in an apartment with her cat, which never left the apartment, yet she had to get it a rabies shot, every 1 or 5 years,, why? it didnt make sense,
I think what might affect me/us the most is the cuba stuff... allowing cubans to feely come to america, seems like allowing homeless people to just come/go from my home.

You left out one:
28. JDIdiot concludes that the Malaysian Airliner was hijacked and is parked on a remote, deserted island and is camouflaged by tens of thousands of shrubs.
I vote for #28!

Supporting the Castros' communist regime in Cuba will be embarrassing, dishonorable and costly ... as will be Odumbo's current -- illegal -- immigration nonpolicy.

Choices had to be made and somethings were left out because I deemed them irrelevant or I didn't know about them. Or maybe, like Cuba, I'm waiting to see how it plays out to see if it is important or not.
Do you have a link to this all important South Carolina climate report?
My top three would the (in no particular order):
Mid term elections
The rise of ISIS
and the missing IRS emails (someone is going to prison)

actually its missing from your list
perhaps because it is ever ongoing
the biggest story, never focused on in a way to really affect a change, that affects us all in a most deleterious manner, is the liberal lack of valuing truth

I have to go with the 2014 mid term elections.
Despite the overwhelming support of the News Media, Academia, Hollywood, and President Obama saying, "I am not on the ballot, but our policies are", the Democrats got their asses handed to them by the Voters.
There is more to come.
