Default Bush Memoir

I find some of the details coming out interesting. I won't watch the interview tonite but I will follow the book leaks.

I just want to know who the poor person was that had to sit and listen to his memoirs so they could be written down. Let's face it the "man" couldn't read from a teleprompter so I highly doubt he knows how to write. I doubt it will be that long of a book and will equate to the "Run Spot Run" books but much easier to read.

You are talking about a man with a Master's Degree in business from Wharton. I would think that some of you business minded people would respect that. Unlike many here I have my copy pre-ordered and will read it when it is officially released next week. The rest of you can stay with your leaks and little minds.

Highlight the parts where Bush confesses to war crimes and felonies. War crimes in yellow, felonies in pink.

As far as I know, he was a Yale undergrad, then to Harvard for an MBA. I don't believe he ever attended Wharton. I am curious if the book will discuss his past drug use or if the book focuses just on his time in the White House. He is an admitted recovering alcoholic, but he is alleged to be a big cocaine user as well, which I would like to hear more on that subject.

President Obama admitted to drug use in his autobiography as well. I think it will be damn difficult to find leaders without something in their past they would rather not have there.

And I thought President Obama was going to get us out of the wars? And close Gitmo?

President Bush isn't the first president to write a self-serving memoir, and won't be the last. Of course, I think they're all a bunch of liars.

For a guy that is supposed to be so stupid, he didn't do badly. Who is dumber, him or the people who voted him into office..twice. We are dealing with very recent memories, but he will look better in the future. History is kind to former presidents.

Didn't do badly? Compared to what?!? ...a stick?

Bush was given a much better ($$$) education than the rest of Americans. He's smarter than the average Joe, too. But he's nowhere near the level I expect of the President of the United States. Sadly, he had an army of conservative helpers to get him to the top and keep him there for 8 years. Sometimes they even wired him up and told him what to say.

Yes, the people that voted him into office twice are idiots. They just did it again a few weeks ago. The "old gang" of regulars is back in power in DC. IIRC, they elected Bush's economic advisor to Congress and the lobbyists are *right now* figuring how to defund the House Office of Congressional Ethics and kill it.

Bush is STILL the worst president ever.

Its apparent that you were not alive when Carter was President, you might have a different opinion.

I meant didn't too badly as far as his personal life and will still be remembered in a better light than he is now as president. Memories fade for many and attitudes soften as well. All Presidents are told what to say, how many write their own speeches? Look at our current teleprompter toting uh-uh-uh-uh president. As far as worst president, Jimmy Carter still gets my vote, again.

Vito; Martin Van Buren is the all time worst, followed by James Buchanan.
