Providers Working For LE?
I'm not sure this is the right forum, but I thought I'd give it a shot. How common is it for a well known provider, one with several years of reviews, P411, etc, to "turn" and assist LE in busting clients? I have a friend who said he's hearing about it more and more often, and it's enough to make me nervous (although he may well be full of crap).
Anyone ever hear of anything like this?

Haven't heard of that type of sting, but I'm sure it has been done. It makes sense especially if the provider has been busted before and is offered a deal to work with LE in order to reduce or dismiss charges against her. So, yes it is kinda scary but after one time, she's burned because word will get out. One way to mitigate that is by using a provider who lives in one jurisdiction and having your date in a separate jurisdiction. It would make it difficult for LE to coordinate that type of sting across jurisdictions.

I read a story in the Las Vegas Review-Journal a couple of months ago about a Henderson Police Officer who was ratted-out by a provider he use to see.

I can see a provider doing this as part of a plea bargain type deal but I do not think the provider could rat you out over past visits since there is no proof of the visit, and because she is "outing people", that might not make her all that creditable

as a verified provider and reviewed i would never turn on other providers or my bfe's....no matter what if i ever would get busted and i would invoke my right to remain silence...and they have to prove their case...i have though heard of other providers spreading rumors about other providers to this effect...so that could be what is going on....

I agree
And being in one state or city and providing in another doesn't really mean much. I get clients from Memphis and I live in North Ms. I've heard that the two are so close that they actually can work together. I've heard of Memphis working with North ms cops and West Memphis Arkansas cops too. Be careful. Anything is possible nowadays.

Too rare and risky to worry about
LE comes across John lists all the time... and RARELY is any thing ever done with them... and what its it.. it is a list of names, and phone numbers... nothing more... even if it lists names, dates , times, amounts, and activities, without corroborating evidence, it is nothing,,, If charges were filed, then it would come out in motion that this was the source of the evidence. The next motion would be for the whole client list, and that may embarrass one of thier own, or someone who has oversight on their budget, or some other name they don;t want to smear.. so its really never been too much of a worry... Hell duing legislative session, Austin is one busy freaking place for the hobby..

I know we have some legal eagles in here... question for you... say a provider IS working for LE, you get popped, can you legally find out what her real ID is etc.. and SUE her for entrapment since A) she is NOT a deputized / badged COP and B) I am sure you asked her if she is a cop/working for or with any law enforcement agency and when she said NO, that is a falsehood and or FRAUD.
Could you SUE HER directly and make an example out of her? I mean I do not believe the cops will come to her rescue.

( just from my imagination fictionally speaking ) It's been my experience that there are no entrapment laws in Texas, either that or there are just alot of dirty cops in Dallas :-(, But even if they were to bust someone & tell them that they would let them off if they ratted people out most likely they probably wouldn't do it anyway they're just saying that to get more people cause cops always lie. so I would just keep my right to remain silent as well. Every time i've been introuble ( fictionally speaking.. ) they tried to get me to rat ppl out as I used to work for an agency but I just kept my mouth shut n went downtown n bonded out. Telling on other people isn't going to help you any, John or provider They just try to fuck you further by saying that it will. so.. See no evil hear no evil thats my motto... & if I didn't see it or hear it I don't know ne thing to speak .. ( once again totally a figment of my imagination )

It appears that there has been a lot of recent LE activity in lower Maryland, Washington DC and northern Virginia. Here is some of what I have heard:
1. There is a group of "wives" who have banded together to disrupt the industry. They caught their husbands and have been using them to penetrate both agencies and independents in order to place these people in legal jeopardy. They have also been persuading LE to become more active in their enforcement role. These women are connected, equipped and motivated. They are lawyers, judges, doctors, a federal agent and regular housewives. They have also caught several providers who have in turn been persuaded to join their cause in a plea bargain arrangement. Prostitution is one thing; tax evasion and money laundering is another. Those statutes have teeth. And turning in the providers to the tax man too.....FIT, SIT and both employer and employee payroll taxes.
2. Some of the agencies, faced with a downturn in business, have been turning in their counterparts. One way to increase your business is to eliminate your competition....one way or another. They are even getting some of their contractors to go work for other agencies, learn the inner workings of their business, then notify LE and have them busted. In some instances, an agency has ratted out some girls they have suspected to be spys....and clients too.
So, the bottom line....trust no one!

Entrapment won't work ANYWHERE. Entrapment only works if law enforcement persuades someone to do something they normally wouldn't do under any other circumstance. this business, we all know what's doin...
