Default Honesty in Advertising?

I recently wrote a negative review on a local provider not for her service (which I thought was good) but for her ad which I thought was deceptive. I since have recieved criticizm for my coments.

Do you think providers who represent themselves as younger, taller, smaller, ets... should not be called out when the facts are known?

Last year I visited a provider who advertized with a picture that had to be a least 20 to 30 years old. Is that ethical?

Without a doubt, you have every right to give your honest opinion. HONESTY IN ADVERTISMENT IS ESSENTIAL FOR ALL CONCERNED!!! No doubt whoever critized you has a vested interest. Say what you mean, mean what you say!!

Well I dont know who the lady is you speak of my 2cents you (provider) should be up front about looks, if not its just false advertisment. Thats like me saying im a BBW and your really excited about seeing a BBW and you get there and Im 120lbs, lol. I wish hahaha! But I am just saying.

That seems the point of the site, for everyone to share their opinions and observations. If something is definitely not as it seems or is made out to be, there is no harm in pointing it out.. so long as one does so with some decorum and not in a nasty or hostile way, everyones experience should be made better for it. One who is perhaps exaggerating or misrepresenting in some way they perhaps see as a harmless 'white lie' would hopefully change their attitude and learn from the mistake if called on it.

This thread brings up a few interesting thoughts.

First, from what I gather whoever commented on your review did not do so publicly but rather privately. I know that providers can't comment in reviews, but others obviously can.

It also brings up something we've also talked about which is the yes/no recommendation on reviews and how the limited options available can lead to some confusion for people that do not have ROS access.

So in this instance someone might not want to see said provider because of the no, while at the same time we had one a month back or so that got a yes even though she didn't provide any services, which everyone was up in arms about. The obvious solution is simply to pay for or earn ROS access.

Personally I don't know that 2 less inches and twenty extra pounds is a huge difference. I've certainly known women with both types of bodies and in my experience it's just a slight difference. The other thing is that it's harder to gauge weight than it say to gauge say height so for all we know she was 5'6" and 145.

Another thing to consider is that we are all human and our weights fluctuate from time to time. Should a provider have to get on a scale daily before she posts an ad to make sure her weight is correct down to the ounce?

I'd imagine most people wouldn't have given her a no just based on that, but I don't currently have ROS so I don't know what else your review covers.

5 ft 100lbs to me is alot different than 4ft 10 120 lbs. Best to go and ask what size they wear in clothing of some sort.

As a provider, tall and a bbw, I have had a few gents tell me my pics make me look smaller or bigger than i am depending on what set of photos is up. I feel like we need to go on the stats more than anything.. measure ments and such beacuse photos are often misleading... even without the intent of being that way....

Being honest and deliberately unkind when writing a review are two different things.

If you are honest in your review and not criticize with ill intent, then go for it. You did your best to share your experience.

If you write a review to defame a provider, then accept that people are going to call you on it.

You did good. Once I was so tired of all the BS that I posted that I would pay the provider $100 if any of them that said 24" waist really had a 24". I would measure. I got so much heat for that but not a single taker. There wasn't even one that could take me up on that offer. I already knew it before I posted. I knew my money was safe. Just call it like you see it.

It is always the same crybabies that complain.

Default ***hmmm!***

Hi,

You are doing the right thing to help your fellow peers. There are a lot of men that want to be in the presence of a "10++" and use the hobby as their way of finding the "lookie lou provider." So to me, it would be an important factor in their decision making.

I feel, if you are marketing to that group of guys that are seeking the "100" and under companion then they really need to be honest and so does the hobbiest. When I see reviews on providers, and then see them and somethings don't match, I lose respect for that poster or that reviewer.

Sincerely,
Wet

Everyone carries weight, height and even clothing sizes differently. You could take two girls that are the same height and weight.. even the same size clothing and they could entirely different.

Also, I think that guys internal scales are way wrong. A girl can say she is 5'4 and 150 and most men would think her to be a "big" girl.. when in reality she is probably leaning on the smaller side of the spectrum.

Another example, I am bi and had a gf a while ago that was all of 4'8 and maybe ... i mean maybe 90 lbs. You would think that girl was itty bitty with no curves. But you would be wrong. She had a ghetto booty and bigger boobs than me... (hang on I am day dreaming about her... cause she was freaking hot lol)

I have 25 or so reviews that all state the same physical descrption : "jez is a thick girl curvy in all the right places but not a bbw" One of my best friends is the same height weight and pants size as I am.. but entirely different body style. Men would consider her a bbw. She has bigger hips but not a round bottom. So it all looks different.

While I agree that we should try to be honest in our physical representation of ourselves for the benefit of the hobbyist... but even with an accurate description, she still may not be what you expected.

Just my .02cents
