you know a provider and I were talking recently about male providers. She asked if eccie had male providers and I said the only ones I'd had heard about were TS's. Don't think they have a category for male providers.

If they did, it would hopefully say provider. So many put descriptions under the title. maybe eccie should define hobbyists and providers better, if it confuses people.


of course, you also have the ones that accounts under both sexes too so they read what the others sex says.

As for RR, It's great someone had to ask. It means you must not read all the co-ed threads. From what I've heard, including W and others, RockerRick has been a Hobbyist for a long time, back before eccie to the aspd days.

just for help.... not many providers post in co-ed anymore, to trashy.

there used to be a red headed RockerChick here in SA, she left the Hobby and went back to the Real World. (she is missed by many) Wasn't her handle though. A friend told me recently that she is doing great. so glad to hear.

ECCIE has never been Male Provider friendly. To be more specific, ECCIE Hobbiests have never been Male Provider friendly. They are nothing more than Eye Candy for the ladies. Let's be honest and real world here, what Female Provider is going to pay a Male Provider? How do they expect to keep their own Hobby Fund when they get paid to have sex with old, fat, balding guys like us.?

We have seen a few appear in the Welcome Wagon in Dallas over the years, but the disappear pretty quick. We had a Female Provider review a Male Provider in Dallas a few years back and she was raked over the coals pretty hard by the Dallas guys. Their response was they are here to review female providers and Female Providers reviewing Male Providers was an abomination.

There are and continue to be male providers on eccie, probably as many as used to be on aspd.

Most that I know of maintain a very low profile, some forgo the "provider ad" opportunities and work the "system" via pm only. Or by getting vouched (usually by female providers but sometimes by male hobbyists) into socials. I can number three or four of these male providers operating in central and south Texas, for example.

Other male providers, having first started with rather high and obvious profiles, seem to "learn a lesson" that the board(s) are not always very male provider friendly and either reduce their profile or remove themselves from the boards. I know a couple of these and I know one who still very active in the hobby.

Male providers may be "equal opportunity" with female clients and/or male clients.

Way many folks hereabouts seem to seek out "expanded hobby horizons" with providers of different stripes. I include the TS crew, obviously.

Ditto, the few female hobbyists, again, many learning the difficulties of having a virtually non-existent female hobbying community. But, several have been vouched into SA and Austin socials, and, seemed to have fun times from what I heard, even if they didn't post much or any reviews!

If many means several or up to 25 percent or some other limited definition, I can agree. Otherwise I know many (and I define this number as well more than 50 pct of the provider community in several cities) who not only "make it" in the hobbying world but also who are diligent enough to avoid open conflicts, smart enough to be very savvy with their finances and

I know more than a handful who have retired from the hobby with "nest eggs" in the 6 figure range (to those reading here, in excess of $100,000 and three with more than a half-million in assets both real property and cash accumulations.

thanks ck, if I'm asked again, I'll tell them that. I've heard of female hobbyists and kind of figured that they would have to be low key on boards because of backlash. Makes sense about male providers too.

Like you said about finances, yes you have the ones that have no money ( for a variety of reasons). You also ones that would shock most Hobbyists with how much they earn and save. Some have degrees in accounting, business, business management. Some own Businesses themselves (Non Hobby related and Hobby related). I know some in their early 20's with retirement funds and multiple banks accounts and homes. Some have financial planners.

Like a lot of people today, some of cars Providers drive are leases. Maybe a Hobbyist bought or leased it for her, but not all, some of those seriously expensive cars they bought themselves.

And I recall one provider who beseeched me to cover doc in the box visit for her and the kids...because she was broke...whi met me at the DIB driving up in her then $35K ride.
