I wanted to see a new provider and I PM'd her with my references. She PM'd me back and told me to have a couple of them PM her to verify my status. I felt kind of awkward doing that. Isn't it customary to give provider names and she can Choose who to contact for verification?

Providers may screen however they wish. The site has zero control over that.

I know this sounds a little corny but I just feel like it may offend a provider to ask them to contact another provider and say I'm legit. Why should they make extra effort to verify me to their competition? Usually one provider contacts another provider with a yes or no type question. (that's the way I imagine it happens anyway)
