Apparently Al Qaeda (who is on the run) had a large gathering in Yemen and the US was either caught unawares or our bureaucracy so tied out hands that we couldn't respond. They don't list every person they kill with a drone or even know how many members Al Qaeda has so you can't factually say Al Qaeda has not been decimated
