Actually, Lori mentioned aural brainwave entrainment in post #28 above, in the form of binaural beats.

It (binaural beats) works for a lot of people, especially for relaxation purposes, although many scientists feel it is mostly a placebo. However, I tend to disagree. It did wonders for my grandmother when she was suffering from Alzheimer's and she couldn't sleep without being heavily medicated. We used binaural beats at the suggestion of hospice and the results were
amazing. I've used it since myself, but with mixed results. I still much prefer (multiple) Ambien.
