CK... You either did not understand the questions I posed to you and the point I was trying to make or you simply chose to dance around them. My point concerns equity. If you believe a hobbyist should keep a "deal" made with a provider, as in this instance, why do you not also propose that providers should reimburse a hobbyist for time, out of pocket expense incurred, and any lost wages, etc., when a provider ncns's, unreasonably delays the scheduled appointment, or even fails to deliver services agreed upon.? We both know that will never happen. We have to write it off as part of the game. But you insist that for the hobbyist a deal is a deal and he should pony up the $$$. Where is the equity in your position?

I am on record as stating I would have left AA a generous tip in this instance to offset possible losses in revenue. I say possible, because that is only potential revenue. It is Not the real $$$ myself and others paid or lost directly or indirectly when a provider flaked on a scheduled appointment. If you would have paid for the full 90 minutes that is certainly your prerogative to do so. What I would like to know, and what I was asking in my thread addressed to you, is why do you not advocate as strongly for hobbyists as you do for the providers?

I had an issue a few years ago with a well known provider. I requested, booked and confirmed a half hour visit. The visit happens close to schedule and i paid the half hour donation. While I am in the parking lot, the provider txts me that I shorted her. I go back to the door knock, she opens, I step inside for privacy and remind her that we mutually confirmed a half hour visit. She says no, I had down an hour visit! This was our first visit. I take the high road and pay the difference [in utter disbelief] and leave. Then later I hear that the provider unreservedly trashed me for trying to rip her off in the ladies room. Man I was way, way pissed but wrote it and her off never again. That was my worse ever hobby experience [including one cash n dash]. Not to water down your bad experience AA, but we guys have bad experiences too. I for one, have enjoyed my visits with you though.

I feel certain things in this buis should be understood and customary. As I said... if a girl cancels then she owes the gent a discount. If a gent confirms an appointment and the length multiple times then changes last min, a tip should be in place. Understanding how much time the lady reserved for him & how much buis she lost when things change last min.

I'd personally NEVER ask for the full fee to be left for a last min change of appointment length... never. That is unfair and robbery in a sense. Us ladies have all had gents who book an hour... stay 30-45 get what they came for and leave the donation for what they booked. That's different than this situation. I don't upsell. I don't clock watch. I provide great services to everyone. And I don't think a gent being kind and leaving a tip & an apology for such a dramatic last min change is ridiculous.
Are you fucking serious? You claim this guy sees you every time you visit and sometimes twice and you want to bitch about him having to cut his appointment short? Jesus sweetheart take a step back and try to see the big picture. You most likely could have filled in part of the time by posting in SNATCH. You also stated that he confirmed his appointment at 2:20 so you couldn't see anyone before him. What the hell does that even mean? He prebooked his appointment so if you didn't schedule anyone before him that is on you. IMO you should have been gracious and said you understand how RW shit gets in the way and thanked him for not cancelling all together. As stated by many others here NCNS's are part of the game we all decided to play. Does it suck? Sure but coming here looking for support is whining. It doesn't look good for you.

Budman.... Well put. I am convinced that suggesting to a provider that she step back and take a look at the big picture, as did you, is a futile effort. For the most part they can only see what benefits them in the here and now.

And how did you have access to what was stated about you in the, as you say, "ladies room?"

I didn't know that there was a "ladies room".

So the important question comes up: which ones are transsexuals using, the "men's lounge" or the "ladies room"?

I am new here, so if expressing my view point offends I do apologize.
I personally book appointments with providers at the minimum of 2 hours. I am not a big fan of the whole "Slam bam thank you ma'am" thinking, that is just me.
I like to have a conversation first, it helps me get into the mood, and hopefully puts the provider at ease.
Now, I book for 2 hours, and everything goes great and it has only been an hour, and we has a good time and some laughs, I know what I paid was well spent, plus I always gift or tip.
I could go on, but basically, how I see it, I am paying for the time, not by what happens during that time. If I choose to bring a scrabble board and just play that for two hours, I am still paying the same rate.

I guess he should have just cancelled all together. Work shit gets in the way. If that had happened most with your attitude would be saying he's a good regular and we all know how RW stuff gets in the way. Instead he spent the amount of time he could and I assume paid her a couple of hundred bucks. I don't know what her rates are but since this guy sees her every time she comes to town and sometimes twice she has now lost a regular and possible future clients.

How do you figure she cancelled 3 guys?

So if an employer promises a certain amount of overtime to an employee and doesn't deliver, should he be paid for the overtime anyways?

That's not how the real world works.

My opinion of 3 scenarios.
1. We start on time, I have to leave. She gets paid for the time we booked.
2. We start on time, she has to leave. She gets paid for the time we spent together BCD.
3. We don't start on time. Either person's schedule could keep the original amount of time from being workable. Its now a new deal, and an agreement should be reached before BCD. If I'm late, she gets paid from the scheduled time. If she's late, there should be a discount if the full time scheduled can still work for everyone - if we have an hour at 1 and she shows at 2 but is there for an hour, I think the guy deserves a $50 discount or something like that.
If we have a 1 o'clock date for an hour, and I get there at 1:30, she gets paid from 1. If she shows up at 1:30, and I have to leave at 2, then it becomes a hhr and she gets paid at that rate.

I would of paid the 90 minutes & we could make up the rest of the time later if we are that cool with each other.

When you book an airline flight, or a hotel, or tickets to a show, you do not get a refund or even a partial refund when RW events occur in your own personal life. The hotel, airline or entertainment venue will lose that money that they can never recoup for that lost time and space, as well as having to turn down other potential customers for the spot you held. EVERYONE knows this and if everyone pulled this, these companies would go out of business. If you don't show up for your airline flight, you don't get your money back, it doesn't matter why.

But because OP is in this particular type of business, the gentleman chose not to respect her time. I would most likely not see him again.

But really there is nothing that can be done in this particular situation, because airlines and hotels have clearly stated cancellation policies and OP did not. So I suggest OP considers posting cancellation policies to prevent this type of thing in the future.

I've got my money back on a few hotels and a flight before.
And a cancellation policy won't stop this. He just won't go back to her.

That's a bad example.

Just last year I booked a non refundable hotel in the wrong town than I was visiting. Called the hotel and they gave me some shit, so I called expedia and they called the hotel and got my money back.
