Like I said she could have been spooked after seeing you walking around like you're at a wedding reception. Asking you that question could have been her trying to down play the fact that you spooked her and she bailed. If I had to be a mind reader based on your story that's what I'd surmise. She was spooked but was also trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. Her asking you what happened was in essence her way of saying she'd still be willing to see you but that you scared the hell out of her. Shes not gonna come out and say that. You think its her fault and im sure she may think you're at fault. However , her asking what happened and responding to your ISO means you still have a shot. Again I'm not a mind reader but if I was that's how I'd read it.

Her screening and him walking around the parking lot are two different things. That's on him to be honest. Why cant you understand this simple concept. He fucked that up by not being discrete on an initial meet and greet. His actions were suspicious. When I'm sitting in a parking lot and people start walking around i typically got my piece on my lap and loaded for bear.

Again i don't know Skyler and I'm not angling in any shape form or fashion to get any pussy from her. I don't need this hobby at all. I'm just presenting an alternate point of view until she chimes in.

Not getting on my horse as a White Knight or Whore Knight, and I am a very careful screener, but I wouldn't care HOW many solid gold refs a fellow had or who he was in the real world if he acted suspicious in the parking lot of the place where I was hosting.

Then again, if she had arrived on time, he wouldn't have felt the need to take a stroll to alleviate his boredom. As he pointed out, just SITTING in a car at a motel looks bad, too.

9 out of 10 times most people won't know you're there if you're sitting quietly in your car. Getting out walking around is actually putting your own self at additional risk.

Agree though there's blame to pass around or so it seems in this case.

I didn't skip over it. It wasn't relevant to the OP. The other poster said :"same thing happened to me today." He didnt say by whom. Pretty big difference.

I'm sure if he was referring to Skyler he would have explicitly said so. But even if he was referring to her im not sure how credible he'd be by just making that one statement alone and then bailing. That also would seem suspicious to me.

Just saying if you're gonna defend the guys point of view out of hand just be thorough in your assessment. If Skyler responds then I can also make an assessment of her explanation. No biggie.

Maybe the timing was just bad for them both but i just think walking around does look suspicious. If the OP is new then he should appreciate this feedback for his own safety regardless of the providers punctuality.
