Depends on the scene you prefer I would think. Not much of a Dallas guy. I tend to dwell in the Fort Worth Mid-Cities area for the most part. I'm sure others will chime in about this.

Tex-Mex or steak would be the first thing that comes to mind as native to the area but there is an extremely wide range of restaurants in the area. You might want to search the Dallas Sandbox forum for these topics. I'm sure they've been discussed at some point.

If it smells fishy, don't eat it.

Well you've gotta take a ride in Poppy's Toyota. Just put your seatbelt on and hold on tight! Because it's gonna be wilder than any 8 second ride.

That all depends... where abouts in Dallas you live? What kind of food do you like? What kinds of things do you like to do? etc.

I don't think Dallas is known for any signature food but more of a great mix of all different kinds of food. For a great steak I enjoy Dunston's Prime Steakhouse on Harry Hines Blvd at the intersection of Regal Row.

BTW Sonny Bryans if I'm not mistaken started in Dallas in a small location on Inwood Rd just east of Harry Hines Blvd. It is still a great place to eat.
