We are a nation of laws. That's what separates us from most other nations and gives us our freedom.
Note for all - this generic discussion doesn't seem to violate Eccie's prohibition of child sex discussion but it is a fine line. The mod reserves the right to close this thread w/o warning.

Granted, but some laws make zero sense compared to what is moral. I won't go there lol, but it's obvious some laws should be removed while others should be implemented.

in light of another thread, I am curious about your thoughts on two questions.
1. Should prostitution be illegal?
2. Is cheating on one's spouse moral?

You know my answers to both, and you know I am walking into the Lion's Den if I say them lol. I was speaking more about Abortion vs. Escorting. I don't think one should be legal while the other is not...they are both choices made by the woman in what to do with her body. I am Pro Life but that's another story I don't care to get into lol.

Amazed, unlike Nineveh I at least try to see your POV, but this statement just leaves me totally baffled.
Honestly there are a lot of people that see your own life as a "vile wack job". And they argue you are here for the money (because you escort), plus for the attention (e.g. because you post here) and I'm certain they also find you have no soul.

I happen to agree with her. Protesting for the sake of doing so just out of boredom, does not exactly make a statement. Removing his trash from the shelves won't hurt anyone...some people should be shut the hell up! There is also a place for everything, and amazon might not be the place. Maybe the local 7-11 on some back shelf....trash.
Escorting out of choice and some nut job giving instructions on how to pick up little kids over the net, is ludicrous in comparison.

Amazon allows second party sellers to advertise on its site. I don't know if it charges for the advertising space or whether it is some kind of consignment arrangement.

That's true as well. A lot of scammers on there that they don't toss until they are made aware.

LOL, I guess the Founding Fathers wasted too much time with "mind-farting" about French philosophy of law.
And incest is really defined differently in french law than in anglo-saxon law. And that not on the basis on "What's right in the law" but on different beliefs about what is morally still acceptable.
(before it's too confusing: french law DOES find incest illegal, but Sensual Brett doing her
sister Pamala, is maybe morally wrong for London Rayne and certainly illegal by US laws. The french law philosophers that greatly influenced the Founding Fathers, however found one should still morally tolerate such an act as it does no harm and bears no possibility for offspring.)

Oh goodie a History and Law lesson all in one lol. I really don't care what is right in that aspect under the law, nor do I need it dissected....anyone supporting incest and child porn should be locked up for his own good.
Just because I am a hooker does not mean I have to adopt an "anything goes" type attitude. I still would never bring home another woman to someone I am in love with, I don't watch porn, would never screw my own sister or brother, and I don't want anyone in my family in this lifestyle. Imagine that....I have the ability to seperate a job from reality and what I hold most dear. I am not that numb yet babe...sorry.
The only time people go on a rampage about freedom of speech is when they are spewing crap that no one really wants to hear...no sane person anyway. It is not acceptable to me, and I really don't care who is offended by it lol. If they want to say that me being a who3e is offensive to them...so be it, but I am not doing my family!! I think there are far too many educated people to do the world any practical good...check mate!

Absolutely agree! But I'm totally sick of this "child porn on the net" fear mongering, and this supposed "war on terror".
Both "child porn" and "war on terror" is used in the western world to silence free speech.
And it does not surprise me that Amazon or Mastercard actually do business with "child porn" but kill their contracts with wikileaks just because they feel like it. (Amazon is not just a book/gadget reseller/marketplace, but also a major "cloud" webhoster.)

I don't understand why you would be sick of people trying to save lives? Would you rather we just keep saving the trees as our children die? I digress.
I am not saying I don't think there are players in every bracket...including Amazon, but it's one step at a time. I totally support anyone who is determined to rescue these children.

But didn't Amazon pull the plug on both because both (wikileaks and the author) were bad for business? Yes, it is a form of censorship, but it's also Free Enterprise--and Amazon is in it for the money.

Agreed. I am all for free speach, but there has to be a line drawn in some cases. What if someone decided to publish How To Strangle and Dispose of Prostitute? Would that be OK as well?
