Indeed. I said this could be a trap game and it was. Boise had their chances, I watched this game along with Oregon and Auburn's games to get a feel for who's playing hot this time of year, Bama had Aubie but couldn't convert in the red zone as the game went on. Oregon pulled away from Arizona and looked impressive doing it.

As the ghost of Mr. Rickles pointed out Utah didn't beat Bama they smashed them, and of course Boise defeated ZerOU in their classic bowl game. So heads up all of these so-called lessor teams can play with anyone. Could they contend in the BCS conferences? Yes i think they could, now that's not to stay they would dominate as they do in their current conferences. Those who claim TCU and Boise would "automatically" have losing records just by being in the SEC for example are vastly overrating the SEC. Yep i said the SEC is overrated. Look at both Alabama and Auburn's schedules.

Sat, Sep 4 San Jose State W 48-3
Sat, Sep 11 (18) Penn State W 24-3
Sat, Sep 18 at Duke W 62-13
Sat, Sep 25 at (10) Arkansas W 24-20
Sat, Oct 2 (7) Florida W 31-6
Sat, Oct 9at (19) South Carolina L 21-35
Sat, Oct 16 Mississippi W 23-10
Sat, Oct 23 at Tennessee W 41-10

Sat, Nov 13 (17) Mississippi State W 30-10
Thu, Nov 18 Georgia State W 63-7
Fri, Nov 26 (2) Auburn L 27-28

Bama gets points for playing Penn St, but Duke is one of the worst 1A teams out there, and Ga State is a new program (of course this game is a favor to Bill Curry, former Tide coach) so it's basically a scrimmage for Bama. San Jose isn't much either.

Aubie's non-conference schedule is weaker still.

Sat, Sep 4 Arkansas State W 52-26

Sat, Sep 18 Clemson W 27-24

Sat, Nov 6 Chattanooga W 62-24
Sat, Nov 13 Georgia W 49-31
Fri, Nov 26 at (9) Alabama W 28-27

Arkansas St? Louisiana Monroe? Chattanooga? please. scrimmage games all.

While I'm not a fan of the Big Ten they do have one claim over the SEC, they don't cheat. One legit and valid criticism of the SEC is they cheat. All of them, every one. Name one SEC program that has NOT been on some sort of NCAA probation in the last decade. I will say this about the SEC and how competitive they are - they rat each other out like a pack of thieves. While cheating themselves, they'll drop a dime on any other SEC school. real high moral standards isn't it?

And let's not forget Aubie has a potential controversy right now that could come back to haunt them big-time. While i believe at this point that Chizik did not do anything improper to recruit Fig Newton, the actions of Preacher Newton (probably without his son's knowledge) looks very bad to date, and if so then Fig Newton is ineligible to play anywhere, at any NCAA level. It doesn't matter if Preacher Newton didn't get a dime for Fig's commitment, just by implying "more than a scholarship was needed" is enough to rule him ineligible. By the way, what does this say about so-called religious leaders and their virture? you'd think an ordained minister of all people would be above this sort of thing. Of course Preacher Newton will get his sack of cash if not this year (Fig may need to bolt to the NFL after this year because of his possible ineligibility) but certainly after next season barring a complete melt-down (very unlikely, the kid's got too much talent for that) from the NFL. Fig will eventually be able to buy Preacher a whole new church (and a caddy and a condo in Miami) with his sack of NFL cash.

And last but not least, since we're talking about cheating, i can't resist taking a shot at The Red-headed lisping Pip squeak! Now here's a serial fucking cheater if there ever was one! While there were no reported NCAA violations during his tenures at NC State and Arkansas, there certainly were at Minnesota, ND and South Carolina. And now this pompous asshole calls himself Dr. Lou and pontificates about the virtues of college football? What a hypocrite!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Holtz

by the way, a buddy of mine's cousin played for Holtz at Minnesota in the early 80's, he'd tell you two things about Dr. Lou - yep he was cheating and if he ever had the chance now that the pip squeak doesn't hold his scholarship over his head he'd bust Dr. Lou's teeth out. The previous coach recruited him, not the pip squeak but he played his last two years under him and he claims the Dr. is total asshole to his players.

Default #14 With a Bullet?

There's a reason it's called "Ag it up," as in OAMC, not TAMU. Stoolwater A&I usually steps forth with some such gaggin' agg Agged-up way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory though they can be spoilers occasionally. All of Nose Pickens' caish couldn't make their east-west pasture anything but grassland for the cheerleaders...LOL! Put 'em in a Chic-Fil-A commercial...

Now that I've trotted out a few OU-isms regarding the Agricultural and Mechanical COLLEGE up I-35, let me say a few words about cross-country, wrasslin' and some other Title-IX spotes they specialize in (such as cross-dressed tiddly-winks) , nah - on to my prediction: OAMC-42 / U of O-38 heh heh heh - I'm sorry, but Landry Jones's '70's porn star 'stache is an indicator of larger problems at QB that Josh Heupel just can't seem to fix. Maybe next year for my Sooners (hell, beginning to sound like The Kid and his Short-rack problems).

It'll be hell putting up with the g/d bumper stickers and listening to "Hi, neighbor....." for a whole fu*kin' year...dammit. Parties all 'round in the single wides in Payne County. Now, if Corso puts on some Piss-troll Pete gear, there could be hope.

My bad, he is indeed alive and well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Rickles

"Mr. Warmth"

When asked by an interviewer if he ever worried that his insult comedy might ever become too offensive, Rickles replied, "You know, every night when I go out on stage to do my comedy routines, there's always one nagging fear in the back of my mind. I'm always afraid that somewhere out there, there is one person in the audience that I'm NOT going to offend!"

My kinda guy!

name a movie he played in with both Telly Savalas and Clint Eastwood. You shouldn't need it but i'll provide a hint -

".. maybe the guy's a Republican"

kinda funny since Rickles is a life long Democrat.

Thursday, Nov 25

17 Texas A&M vs Texas - Texas

Why? Why Not? This is rivalry week and records don't count, and A&M has won recently with a worse record than Texas currently has. Go Longhorns!

17 Texas A&M 24 Texas 17Typical of the season, close but no cigar. several games this year Texas could have tied the game but couldn't execute.

Friday, Nov 26th

2 Auburn vs 9 Alabama - Alabama

Bama is 3rd in total defense, Saban's specialty. All the pressure is on Auburn, the game is Auburn's to lose and lose they do.

2 Auburn 28 9 Alabama 27Bama had this game, Saban had Aubie's offense contained early but settled for 3's while Auburn finally got rolling. Auburn showed toughness .. like a potential champion.

Colorado vs 16 Nebraska - Nebraska

Bo won't have to apologize for chasing Zebras if he gets his offense to play better.

Colorado 17 16 Nebraska 45See? play better and the zebras aren't a factor, get it Bo?

20 Arizona vs 1 Oregon - Oregon

Can Stoops 2 ruin the Duckie's run to perfection? No.

20 Arizona 29 1 Oregon 48Ducks pull away from Stoops 2 and looked impressive doing it .. like a potential champion.

3 Boise St vs 19 Nevada - Boise St

Nevada lost a close game to Hawaii while the Smurfies rolled against the Warriors. Therefore Smurfies win, but beware! this has trap all over it.

3 Boise St 31 19 Nevada 34Told ya, trap game! Boise would probably win 7 out of 10 but not this time, and this one is the one that counted. great Hail Mary wasted when kicker blew a chippy .. then missed another.

Saturday Nov 27th

Virginia vs 13 VA Tech - VA Tech

going all in with Beamerball.

Virginia 7 13 VA Tech 37all in with Beamerball. told ya Va Tech would rebound, they haven't lost since the JM ambush, one game away from 10 wins but it's Free Shoes U so they'll earn it.

11 Michigan St vs Penn St - Michigan St

Sorry JoePa, Sparty gets its mojo back and keeps smellin' da roses.

11 Michigan St 28 Penn St 22Sparty finishes a special year but Roses probably not for you, in fact Sparty may get screwed out of a BCS at-large too.

Michigan vs 8 Ohio St - Ohio St

SweaterVest owns UM and RichRod goes down.

Michigan 7 8 Ohio St 37SweaterVest owned Lloyd Carr too with one difference .. Lloyd beat just about everyone else .. is RR done in Ann Arbor? stay tuned.

15 Missouri vs Kansas - Missouri

Mizzou should torch Kansas even if Big 12 North is now out of reach.

15 Missouri 35 Kansas 7Mizzou gets its mojo back, just in time for a good bowl game.

BYU vs 23 Utah - Utah

Utes continue rebound from skid with big win against rival BYU.

BYU 16 23 Utah 17Utes beat arch-rival and avoid major late season collapse. Now can they win a bowl on their way to PAC 10?

Florida vs 22 Florida St - Florida St

The Battle of Florida goes to 'Noles. No wide right, Jimbo.

Florida 7 22 Florida St 31Jimbo rolls over Gators, now just keep doing it and you'll have a statue too.

Northwestern vs 5 Wisconsin - Wisconsin

Badgers keep the logjam in the Big Ten going with beat-down in Camp Randall.

Northwestern 23 5 Wisconsin 70Badgers as an offensive machine? who knew! they deserve the Big 10 more than Buckeyes, it's Roses for Badgers.

24 Iowa vs Minnesota - Iowa

Capt. Kirk needs to wipe out the klingons .. er Gophers.

24 Iowa 24 Minnesota 27Hmmm. Shoulda known Iowa would pull a late year collapse, no strong offense and no excuses to lose to da Gophers.

6 LSU vs 12 Arkansas - LSU

going all in with Crazy Lester.

6 LSU 23 12 Arkansas 31All out with Crazy Lester, shoulda gone all in with Boss Hogg. two things - Lester is safe at LSU and Boss Hogg is rolling again.

4 TCU vs New Mexico - TCU

Froggies roll to perfection.

4 TCU 66 New Mexico 17U go Froggies! even losing QB didn't stop TCU from rolling over NM easily. that's depth for ya.

18 S Carolina vs Clemson - S Carolina

does the 'ol Ball Coach get caught looking ahead to Aubie? No.

18 S Carolina 29 Clemson 7No trap for 'ol Ball Coach, the wait was worth it, SC isn't Florida it just took a little longer but Steve Superior is still .. Steve Superior.

25 Miss St vs Mississippi - Miss St

I hate Houston Yer Nutts, so his nuts get boiled in the egg bowl.

25 Miss St 31 Mississippi 23Houston Yer Nutts! gets his nuts boiled .. 'Nuff said.

Oregon St vs 7 Stanford - Stanford

going all in with Jimmy H.

Oregon St 0 7 Stanford 38All in with Jimmy H, now will he stay or bolt to Ann Arbor?

14 Oklahoma vs 10 Okla St - Okla St

it's now or never for YouTube Gundy to take out Big Game Bozo.

14 Oklahoma 47 10 Okla St 41looks like never for YouTube Gundy .. or at least this year. No excuses, cowpokes, you have no biz giving up TWO long passes late in the game .. and that run back should have been called back.

Uh oh Pokes, exit to the right and thanks for playing this year. Good luck in your bowl game.

Something like 99 points and a half a gazillion yards given up in your two key games ( at home).

Children of the corn vs OU in last Big 12 championship game. Order returns to the universe.

Amem. It's the only thing that makes sense. It will be a fitting end to an era. Now, there's only a Texas UIL game left on Thanksgiving......

OU/ NU should be close. I think the NU secondary can slow down Landry and his 60 plus passes, but we will take 3 pass interference calls with aggressive all over the field man to man.

In the end, with or without TMart, children of the corn may not have enough sustained offensive firepower, so my sense is Sooner on a late field goal, but hell, lets go ahead and play the game.

While yer at it Randy throw Big Game Bozo on the heap too. it's great to be a die-hard fan but let's be honest here, for all of Big Game Bozo's top ten recruiting classes what's he got to show for it? no more than Texas really, 1 Big Crystal Ball.

and while each season and game is different, it was essentially the same USC team that destroyed ZerOU that Texas beat the next year.

and if you want to know what it really takes to recruit in the 80's why don't you ask the expert himself? the Bootlegger!

every coach who stays in the game long enough hits a down cycle, and it'll happen to Bozo eventually, unless you want to crack us all up and imply Bozo is that much better of a coach than Bobby Bowden, Joe Paterno, Bear Bryant or Woody Hayes.

and now the stat all ZerOU fans love to hate .. yep you know what's coming ...

59 - 41 - 5

most ZerOU fans will say the big lead Texas has over ZerOU came before the the 50's, before Buddy W, Chucky and The Bootlegger and Bozo and according to Dave Campbell there's some truth to that, but not really, since we didn't have an 18 game lead in it's entirety before Buddy W came along so some of the lead was actually extended during yer so-called glory days. You'd think ZerOU would have done better wouldn't ya?

you folks know that commercial with David Boren bragging about how many National Merit Finalist stapleclipu gets? The truth is, they pay those folks $20,000 a year to come to stapleclipu
