I just have to get a quick brag in here, because I got to be Lux's dinner date Friday night. I felt a little guilty in that we just grabbed a bite in one of the hotel's small bars. I don't eat out enough to have come up with some place special to take her. If she makes it to town again I will be better prepared. Anyway, she was a delightfull companion both for dinner and before.

The plates have too much food on them. I would take extra apples and bananas from breakfast meal from the hotel to have snacks during the day.

Sometime I would buy a quart of milk for the evening and breakfast. I ate much better. I have lost 50 pounds since I stopped the excess travel routine. Eating out can be hard on your health, if you don't watch what you eat.

But I do know what you mean. I travel a lot as well and it can suck sitting eating alone.

Traveling alone does suck, I feel like a reject walking into a restaurant alone. I usually end up sitting at the bar, and somebody strikes some conversation. Nine times out of ten, I order a drink the bartender never heard of and then fun begins. Giggling.
When I get into a new town, I usually call a local provider and she takes pity on me and grabs a meal with me. I joke, I joke, they usually comes and we have a good time. Its the best time to get to know the local ladies and make nice.

I think this is more of an issue for the ladies. Women I've known have been very self-conscious about eating alone. They've told me that they feel like everyone is staring at them and judging them.
I love eating alone in restaurants, but I tend to like solitude anyway. Hope I don't end up in a mountain cabin with a long beard talking to the animals one day. LOL.

Lol thats funny - I found myself talking out loud to myself yesterday in my hotel room and then started to wonder if I am going crazy lol. I've been spending a little too much time alone the past week. This is why I want to get a teacup puppy to travel with me.

Yeah Lux, afraid to say it, but it's a slippery slope to Loonyville once you start talking to yourself. You know you have a REAL problem when you start ANSWERING yourself.

I always talk to myself when I am in out and public in a very crowded place and want more room. It is amazing how well it works.
