I've never been with an ebony provider or with an ebony lady in my private life. Gdiddys' response pretty much sums up my feelings and views.
Yes, there are some extremely attractive ebony providers (Eden you are one of them) that I wouldn't mind spending time with. Would I like to see one? Yes. Will I? Don't know. For me it's all about the comfort level so the experience can truely be enjoyed.
Say, for a first time meeting between a provider and client there isn't that much communication other than screening and some chit chat. So most of the time your're going on a gut feeling that everything will go smooth and some type of chemistry will exist. If I have a somewhat negative feeling about ebony providers to begin with (yes my fault) do I really want too take the chance.
Unfortunately stereotypes are a bitch too strip away especially if someone (myself included) isn't willing to try. In this case I have no doubt it's my loss.

I'm an older hobbiest and have had the pleasure of all types of ladies. I have had good an bad experiences while hobbying and the color of their skin was never the issue it was the attitude. I have been really fortunate to have met and enjoyed spending time with a number of ebony providers. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and in my eyes women are beautiful regardless of skin color.

Eden, thanks for asking this question! I hear the same thing pretty often ("I was really nervous about seeing you because I don't normally see AA women"...etc). And yes, most gentlemen are put at ease once they hear my voice over the phone too. It sounds like you and I are very similar in a lot of respects, except I come from an upper middle class neighborhood on the west coast instead of the east, and likely a few years before you.

I can understand why the gents may be put off based on their private life experiences with other AA people they've met (or not met). But at the same time, I do find myself wishing that people would just take a moment to check others out before the snap judgments come into play. I think its fine if a lady has an NBA policy, or if a gent prefers not to see ebony ladies. I have my preferences as well, though they are not based on race. People are entitled to their choices.

I'm glad you gentlemen were able to be up front about your answers and experiences. And Eden, I too would love to meet up one day if we're ever in the same neighborhood!

Very good question and very intelligent responses. Very much unlike past threads in other areas discussing NBA policies. For me, NBA policies remain hurtful, even if said lady is one I wouldn't see. It's being singled out for being something I didn't ask for. Being black is not a personality. But dont get me wrong, I am proud (say it loud! Lol). It's just to be singled out is hurtful. Is there a "No Hispanics" or "No Orientals" policy to accompany the NBA policy? But, such is life. I don't lose sleep over. It's more a painful reminder that many people still judge me by my skin and not who I am. Besides, I haven't been a pimp in at least 10 years.

I'm sure that feeling applies to AA providers as well but since we as hobbyists do not advertise ourselves, race policies probably never arise. But there again, such is life. Why assume the black provider is ghetto and supporting some "habit" but not make the same assumption of providers of other races? There are assholes and scammers of all races.

Those stigmas are being attached to all providers, with the bait and switchers to the ladies who have 'management issues', among other issues. It gives the real LADIES a more difficult task to find a gent who will take her seriously.
I do not have such restrictions myself, and if I were a gentleman, I would want to savor ALL the flavors! From a creamy milk chocolate to a deep dark chocolate, strawberry and vanilla too! YUMMY!

Personally, I've never seen an ebony lady, in the hobby or otherwise. I've been tempted to and have seen many that I considered attractive but the two appts I tried to make (a solo from NOLA & a double with a white provider) were both cancelled on their end. I think it's mostly just because blondes are my favorite so my radar hits there first. However, it's one of the few itches I haven't scratched yet, so maybe soon....
