Tolerance is a virtue...but that doesn't mean people who may normally be tolerant would tolerate cold-blooded murder...just as you have no tolerance for people who would express such disdain.

Let me be clear, in case there has been some twisting of my words
I am not tolerant of cold-blooded murder, nor would I like anybody to be tolerant of such.
Tolerance is not always a virtue. Examples are too obvious to be worth stating.
I perfectly understand the sentiments expressed here, I am simply adding my two cents because a thread which only has an expression of one point of view is biased, and I am certainly very intolerant of bias.
I got robbed two days ago by a couple of youths, a bruise to my head and a bigger bruise to my ego, yes I wanted while wrestling with them to give them a good thump and kick in the balls, yes i want to make sure they don't escalate their crimes, but if a court said 'these boys have been found guilty, essence please now kick them in the balls as hard as you can' I would of course refuse, and flee from a country which had such a perverted sense of justice.
The question of marines is interesting. I come from a military family, my father was one of the first in the precursor to the marines. In some situations in war conflicts they are necessary, but I always remember my father saying what a disaster it was sending them as a peace keeping force to Northern Ireland. Their aggressive culture is bred for a specific purpose, and cannot be generalised to 'normal' life.
Whoops - another can of worms opened.
ps I am neither muslim nor christian, although I have a deep immersion into christian culture and teachings.
