THANK YOU so much for the suggestion! I'm thinking of doing some site seeing on Wednesday before I fly back and this might be perfect for me!!!

If you like sculpture, you might really enjoy The Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas. It's not exactly adjacent to the DMA but it's behind it and one block over. Gorgeous. If you're in this direction, give me a call and we can go together. Plus The Crow Collection of Asian Art is right there as well and is very small. It's a little known Dallas treat!

Here's the website: http://www.nashersculpturecenter.org/About-NSC

Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Elisabeth

Really. I prefer Brennan's. Now that it has opened again. Until then I had been getting my fix at places morre humble like Bistro Le Cep off Westheimer and Wilcrest. Funny how you don't see any French people in a city of 6 million other than waitering at French restaurants.

I would not recommend going to a sex club after eating a dinner at a French restaurant. Unless it is just appetizers and wine.

Was this the restaurant that about three years ago it was a single room place? I don't remember the name of the place that I went to a few years back but it was wonderful. Le Mistral's website said that they had moved and I was just curious.

I generally will eat or try anything once but am I the only one that gets just an icky feeling when it comes to goose livers? That, and eel sushi, are two things that I haven't developed a taste for. Guess, though, I should TRY foie gras!!!

Thanks for the recommendation!!! And yes. I would think eating a full French meal and then going to a sex club is a bad idea. Need just a little digestive time in between!

Yes it is they were a modest little place and expanded when they moved to Eldridge. I personally dont love foie gras its yucky but i know for some French food enthusiasts they require it. But I loooove escargot, some of the best is actually at Brennans owned Bistro Alex in CityCentre here. If you like Brennana you will love them. I actually love eel on my Dragon Rolls. I like going to out Museum of Natural Science by myself and The Cockrell Butterfly Center is breathtaking. You can just stand in a midst of beautiful butterflies!

Girl, one thing I know is FOOD - you are going to TOTALLY be in the right hands here....Masraffs is the best french resturant in town - they're calling it New American with a European flair; but that's for their new incarnation - they've been a french restaurant for years and haven't changed the menu much.

I'm goin' to FEED you, girl - Can't wait till you get here!

  • Le Mistral on Elderidge = Great new location with upscale decor. Owners are from the Rhone region (thus the name). Best place to take a client for lunch.
  • Bistro Le Cep on Westheimer at Wilcrest. Great provincial food. Country atmosphere. Less formal than Le Mistral without being a hole-in-the wall. I recommend the Steak au Poivre. Extensive wine list.
  • Bistro Provence on Memorial between Wilcrest and Kirkwood. Neighborhood hole-in-the-wall with small dining room and an open kitchen. The kind of place where the staff always remembers you. Small and intimate, although it can be crowded at peak hours. The wine list is small but full of reasonably priced surprises. Very authentic provincial cuisine. Specials are always worth it, as are the steaks. Best place for a rendez-vous and my overall favorite.
