If she liked you as a client why couldn't she call you about the robbery? A text? really? That sounds impersonal to me, IMO.

Deep breath now. If you get the impression that she genuinely adored you and enjoyed your company it means...
she is really good at her JOB.
That's the entire definition of GFE, to make it feel like she genuinely adores you for the entire time you are together.
Sorry bro, and if you want to see her, see her. I can tell you there's a member on here who got WAAAAY too attached to a provider and didn't take the hints so she had to lay it out in a manner that was a little too harsh for his ego.

She treats him right. He treats her right. I am failing to see where the problem is. This experience does not have to be cheap to be valid hobbying.
I am sorry for what happened to your ATF, dude. Perhaps she is taking some time to process what happened, and you will hear from her soon. Be wary though. If you hear from her and she says only that she is fine and doesn't wish to talk about it further, she probably is regretting getting too personal and wants to take things back to a professional fun relationship. If she wants to talk about how awful it was and how you need to give her lots of money to make her feel better, run like the wind.
Either way, you're old enough to wipe your own ass. Happy hobbying, buddy.

Sorry about what happened to ur atf. It's unfortunate. Give her some time to get back on her feet. I'm sure she will still enjoy having u as a client. Don't worry what others think, put your self first. Just don't get hurt in the process. I know u are a nice guy, so don't let certain comments get to u and disappear ok?

This is the most pussy whipped guy I've seen in a long time. You come across as a whiny little puss. Grow some balls and move on.

I have many business associates that I have a personal connection to. The same lady has cut my hair for 20 years. I've had the same maid for almost 15yrs. I will inconvenience myself to give my business to someone I respect, whom has served me well. I've helped out these type of associates on many occasions with support, a shoulder to cry on, taking care of their home or business while they responded to out of town emergencies.
None of these are hobby related. I think to say that your ATF should be treated no different than your run of the mill gardener or mechanic is uncalled for. It is possible to have a business relationship where you treat each other better than strangers. Whether is it my car, boat, bike, hair person, rmt, or atf, I prefer better than the callous relationship.
Broadcasting it on this board... well I can't defend you there. You got what you should have expected. You did the inverse equivalent of going on an Oprah forum and asking why women quit giving blowjobs when they get married. Wrong subject in the wrong place. But guys... really? Give the dude a break.

Very well said.
To the OP:
While I can sympathize w/ your frustration and anguish, it's possible that your ATF is going though some issues after being robbed, and her issue probably make your anguish pale in comparison.
I know that was no help. Just saying that she has her hands full. So give her a break. Her list of priorities probably don't include calling her clients to let them know she's got her hands full.
HTH.

You bring up a valid point. However, have you ever had a business associate that "makes your blood boil" if they discontinue service? Would you quit getting your hair cut, car worked on, or garden weeded, and become a hermit if your associate decided to severe the business relationship?
There have been some gruff responses, but everyone is trying to help in their own way. We all see how this is going to end and it isn't going to be pretty.

There is a difference between a long term business associate and someone he met 2 months ago. I would venture to guess that you would not have been the friend that you have been to your 15 or 20 year business relationship that you have been the first few months you've known them. There are friendships that develop from such long associations and trust that develops from knowing that they have been honest and provided good service for such a long time. That is logical. I would also venture to say that you have not bought your maid jewelry the first few months you knew her. That would probably have sent the wrong message. I don't buy my GFs jewelry within the first couple of months I know them.
I understand your point, but I think the comparison is unfair.

Randal, good point about the time frames. Guess I missed the 2 month piece. By the same token, intimacy can accelerate that exponentially.
42, I see it coming too, but we all have to learn. We don't need to get beat about the head while we do it.
Speaking of head... I have to call Maya! Gotta run!!
