Being someone who writes for a living, I assure you that there are a great many people throwing stones from their glass houses. Note that dumping a block of text into Word and hitting auto-correct is no substitute for an actual education, and no response to the substance of the discussion.

As for the actual topic of the thread:

* People enjoy risk.
* People enjoy pushing boundaries.
* People enjoy getting away with something they feel others don't.
* People don't consider long-term consequences, especially when suffering from dopamine/testosterone rushes.
* It's the responsibility of each person to determine how much risk they wish to open themselves up to, act accordingly, and respect the wishes of their partner as well.

. . .at first glance these seem like valid perspectives, but the last one sort of ties it to a type of moral pluralism that I am uncomfortable with.

I try to be tolerant of the sexuality of others, but at some point there is a disconnect when it comes to safety.

Should we intrude into the BCD activities of others?

This is a tough question and I think anyone that proffers the easy answer here of "we should support all lifestyles, even if we don't practice them," might be a bit misguided.

For those of you willing to be more tolerant of the kinks of others. . .would you feel the same way about a chronic masturbator? He has a right to jack-off to his heart's content, but do you want him handling your food without washing his hands? What if his sexuality involves a desire to bareback the hamburger he is making for you before he put's it on your plate?

How do you determine which client is riskier then the other? References? A healthy clean physical check? Drug test?

What about BB in our personal lives? For those who have SOs, is the BB reserved only for them? What are the chances that your SO is partaking in BB activities without your knowledge? Without knowledge then our risk factor seems to increase...

I thought we weren't going to hijack this into a grammar thread, but the correct form is "piece."

It is a grammatical misnomer to say or write "peace" and it is believed that folks make that mistake based on the old wedding tradition of, "may they hold their peace" which means something entirely different.

To say your piece simply means to have offered your piece of the viewpoint or opinion.

Sorry, Space, he asked.

I can imagine ladies everywhere on ECCIE right now looking at the latest in flavored condoms, if this continues.

Give it a fucking break Man.... We KNOW you have your panties in a wad already....

For Christs Sake man...... There are ladies in the mix providing BBFS (Always has been and Always Will Be)

BBBJ ain't going anywhere.....

It's apparent on every board in the country that CBJ costs a lady market share....

It is interesting to see that BBFS is rearing it's head in ads..... Coming out of the close so to say..... Blame it on the tough economic climate and increasing competition if you want to blame it on anything.....

It is certainly nothing I would be interested in but for any long time hobbyist to pretend to not know this exists is truly ridiculous....

I am not merely championing a ladies' cause, I am championing mine. I am not pretending anything--I know it happens, and when it does I want it exposed and I want experienced hobbyists and providers to explain why this is bad for everyone--not just the participants.

Your argument makes no sense. Child pornography and teenage prostitution happens too, and if it it was being discussed as an okay thing to do, I would be just as outspoken. How about you?

This is not just about tastes and fetishes--this is about safety.

Sure, I can come to grips with the fact that somebody has gone where I am going and cover-up accordingly, but that does not mean I have to like it or be quiet about it.

I don't want to perform DATY on some lady that got manipulated by some scumbag into doing BBFS, because folks like you want this to go away or slip into tolerated behavior by requesting that we quiet our protest just because it annoys you. If the topic of the thread is too trite for you, don't read it and move on.

If sloppy seconds don't bother you, or if they turn you on, so be it--don't tell the rest of us to shut up because you disagree with the stance of abhorrence to this despicable activity.

It is called contributing to the board. Personally, if you are a long-time hobbyist or provider with experience, aren't you being just a little bit irresponsible if you say nothing, or just become cavalier about it?

Teenage prostitution, child pornography, sexual enslavement, murder, bareback sex, terrorism.

Which term doesn't belong in this group? Hint, one isn't illegal.

Everyone has their own ways of dealing with unacceptable risks. Personally I always wear a condom. And I don't see providers who advertise greek.

This, Whispers, is what I find the most intriguing!

I've been in this business for a long time. And bbfs has always been taboo. Right up there with bb greek.

I remember the days when cbj was the absolute norm. Times changed, and bbbj/cim/cof, etc became quite the norm.

Now, here we are with the bbfs option being offered to anybody and everybody. Read the ads. If a lady is posting it an open ad, you have to ask yourself exactly how selective she is being. If she's advertising it....she is offering it. No questions asked.

The economy/competition. Hmm...

We should be outspoken about all of them. Unprotected vaginal and anal sex with multiple partners is not just about style or fetish, it is patently unsafe and effects the health and well-being of all of us.

I think you've hit the nail on the head here. Its economics.

I'd be interested to know what the business for any providers offering this service changed to - whether their email boxes were full & phones ringing off the hook, or whether there was silence.

I'd bet the former before the latter.

Exactly, Anonone. I hope no one is ever driven by market forces, or anything else, to cross this line. For me, and for many of us, that would be an instant deal killer with respect to playing with the lady in question.

Clients and providers and bareback:

I can't think how to address the clients having bareback sex question. If anyone has a thought, give a shout.

Providers, though, interesting spectrum: from never to only with SO to with selected clients to advertising bareback; seems like it would be invisible right up until she advertised it.

Advertising it might concentrate the risky sex a little, make it possible to hobby a little safer by avoiding the bareback girls.

Thoughts?

p.s. Comparing consensual activities to nonconsensual ones is a false path.
