I think you have a good point. There is an angle that perhaps guided my thinking. The porn actress has bbfs with the actor. In a single movie, the porn actress may have bbfs with more than one actor. They then will go out and have bbfs with other porn employees and so on and so on and so on. With every encounter there is yet another chance of infection.

The upside of booking with a porn actress is that you get to pay to be with someone who has been on film. There is a fantasy aspect to this and that is a part of what you are paying for. You can watch film and say to yourself, "I have really been with that person." You get to relive the images in your head.


This is a different scenario compared to a provider who has an SO. The provider has her health and her SO's health to consider. With careful research and choosing carefully, you minimize your risk. Do providers do bbfs on their private lives? I am sure they do. But so do the Hobbyists who are married and I am sure that many of my single brethen do so with their SO. But the hobbyist has his/her health to consider as well as the SO. So there is the doubling of self-interest via the Provider and Hobbyiest to play safe.

There is an assumption I make in my analysis and I understand that it is subject to a difference of opinion. I assume that a person who chooses to enter porn is a person that is much more of a risk taker. I also place that risk at a much higher level than the risk a provider is willing to take. As a small example of the risk process, there are many providers that are not comfortable showing face pics. I think we would all agree that a female that chooses to enter porn is not concerned about face pics. A small example but I think it brings the point home.

Could I be wrong in my assumptions with a specific person? Sure. Am I going to pay a lot of money and take what I believe to be a higher "perceived" risk? No. Is there a risk level in the hobby even without the porn factor? Yes.

So, in the end, we are back to my intial post. Is it worth the risk?

Every person must decide for themselves. But that is the Hobby and there is room for us all Each person has their own risk level because that person must live with the consequence of their choice.

S-man-yes I do, all the reputable places in LA require STD testing on a monthly basis and if you ever come back positive you're out, I would never even consider working with performers who weren't tested monthly.
