Sushi
One of my favorite things about coming to louisianna is the Cajun food. Love it love it love it--which is why I felt bad when I decided to go out and pick up some sushi tonight. Now, I've had sushi all over the world--NYC, LA, Tokyo, Beijing, shanghai, Hong Kong, London.....
But only in Louisianna have I ever seen a fried oyster roll. How has no one else thought of this before?? I never knew before that I could combine my two favorite foods. I might need to hang around a little longer than I'd planned to

Lily, it's not considered food down here until it's been fried in at least one recipe.

Hmmm, Im going up there soon, I'll have to check that out. Little Rock surprisingly has a good place called sushi Cafe that is comparable to some of the best I've had. My favorite will probably always be Hatsune in Beijing. Mmmmm, sushi memories

Try Horinoya on Poydras off Baronne, probably the most authentic Sushi in New Orleans. Not one of those hybrid Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Viet places that really don't excel at any particular one.

Hmmm, I've had quite a few "exotic" things in Asia, though all the sushi I've had hasn't been anything out of the ordinary...so far.

Dallas beat me to the punch here as I was gonna mention that place, and the one down the street called Miyago (or something like that, haven't been down that way in ages).....Of the two I thought SUSHI BROTHERS was the better choice.....Now ya got me craving some California Roll.....
