I do not know how old you are but bo is more liberal than Jimmy Carter and he ran interest rates up to 18% with his liberal spending. the donkeys have had their chance and they are behind in every poll, even the liberal NBC Nightly News has bo behind in the polls

The American people DO NOT want national care. At least Clinton saw the light in 94 but bo has his own agenda. The guy is a Muslim no ifs or buts about

What does that have to do with anything? Only Muslims want healthcare?

Default Republican vs Democrat leadership

A photo is worth a 1,000 words.

Does everyone forget that other states on the gulf were hit just as hard or harder by Katrina and the worst state was the one run for decades by Dems?

Obama sat on his hands and actually hampered attempts by BP and state governments to get ahead of this BP disaster.

The Democrats raised minimum wage three times in the past three years which affected 60% of our nations employers. The democrats raised taxes and its going to get worse. Our military is not as strong now that the democrats have control of the house and the senate. And the national health care plan that is law put in by Obama and the democrats has not worked in Canada or Europe. Unemployment is still 10% and we are supposed to be happy about all this. Give me a break, you may have voted for Obama but are things any better? I think not.

You may want to check a few facts before you draw the above conclusions.

Unfortunately, better can sometimes be defined as not getting any worse. But, it's going to get worse because of the depth of how screwed up things were - the financial system has been effectively unregulated since at least 1999. Does anyone really think that all of those "Smartest Guys in the Room" were twiddling their thumbs for 10+ years and that 24 months is enough time to discover, much less undo, the results of their shenanigans? As a previous poster alluded, I'm sure BP was represented by two fresh out of law school, wet behind the ears Public Defenders. C'mon.....

It's really not an "R" or "D" thing anyway. It's all about the money and greed is alive and well in both parties as well as the tea party. Our political system hasn't recently become a joke - it's just became more obvious. Not that it makes any difference, but NOT A SINGLE ONE OF US on this board can do anything one way or the other about this sort of thing. Several years ago I inadvertently got to take a peek behind the curtain - and it wasn't even in the same building as the curtain to the main stage - you really don't want to know. No, it's not anything as highly coordinated as "The Captains and the Kings" or other stories using a similar premise, it's a lot more base(ic).

I agree on a lot of what Randy is saying, our system of government has been a running joke for years. I love a my country with free speech and all that, were else can a bunch a people sit around and bitch about things and not do anything about it and bitch even more when nothing changes, It is sad that we now live in a country where no one wants to rock the boat and stir things up get involved, we as a society have become soft we like to say thank you to our soldiers for fighting for our freedom, but are we free. We can talk about Iraq and Afghanistan but those are just messes we created years ago and never cleaned up. Our government runs our lives weather we know it or not, greed is everywhere weather we see it or not, there is a social class order weather we want to admit it or not. A war is coming to the United States time to get your boots on and pick sides.

By raising the minimum wage, all it did was cost citizens more and more entry level jobs.

Most places that actually use minimum labor employees find that every time the price control for labor is raised (for the term price control and the disastrous results, go read some history), less people are hired and in fact, many are laid off. Less clerks at the stores, less workers even in fast food.

AND even worse is that the higher wage is easily defeated when these places hire illegals to do the work because the illegals WILL do those same jobs for less.

The entire minimum wage fixed price control scheme helps kill the economy from the bottom side.

Randy I agree with some of your points. But the fact that Ted Kennedy and a democratic congress pushed the minimum wage bill into law is what started the economic downfall. 60% of our nations economy is what would be considered small business. The minimum wage hit the small business and things started to go downhill. When small business cannot expand and grow and hire, then the economy suffers. Our nation is no longer a manufacturing country, we rely more and more on imports. So the money we would keep in the USA leaves and never comes back.

The financial markets were headed for a downfall because of greed and corporate practices driven by Wall Street. Our banks are not broke, but they cant meet the new government mandated requirements, so they are defaulted and taken over. The real estate crisis is far from over and another big round of forclosures are coming. Add retail, office, and institutional type real estate forclosures on top of that and recession round 2 is coming.

The democrats will increase taxes and have a bigger government which takes money away from the private sector. Therefore the private sector will stop developing and hiring, more unemployment, less taxes. So the fed will increase taxes again. Its a very bad pattern. Kind of like a big shit sandwhich and we will all be forced to take a bite.

How does this affect the hobby? With more women unable to find "straight" jobs they might consider becoming providers forcing the price of pussy to go down. This is a good thing right? Perhaps, but with the economy bad and taxes higher, Hobbyist have less to spend, so the ladies have no choice but to lower rates. Another bad pattern just like the regular economy.

Now back to our regular programming.

Who took The Social Security out of Social Security Trust and put it in The general fund so the Congress and Senate could rape it and spend every dime ????? And what ever happened to Term limits ?? It once was ,that prominent members of a community were elected to represent their district or State for a short period of time (usually successful business people)..then return to their home and whatever business they were in and a new person elected to succeed them...now its Congressman or Senator for life with no other type of life experience except living off the public dole......Two stand out ..Gore is a good example as well as Obama.Their are many others ... How can they explain that when they entered Congress with a net worth of maybe $100,000....and in a few short years they are Millionaires or even Multi Millionaires ..both Republican and Democrats ...makes you want to say Hmmmmmmmmmmm...I'll stop now but could go on and on .......

JR, I am surpised! not many military men share your opinion. I can't even imagine serving under Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton or Obama.

I served under Ike. with pride and confidence!

bigbob - touche,' sort of...the effective problem with your minimum wage argument is that the NEXT scheduled increase will bring the minimum wage's buying power up to the point where it was in 1968. The premise that wages are the only cost of doing business is short-sighted, incorrect and assumes a "right" to make a profit - good luck with that - the majority of businesses fail because the ownership does not have the 2.5 - 4 years of cash on hand to live off on in order not to have to raid the fledgling operation. There are also numerous ways to work a small business' wage expenses into a tax advantage as well as to jockey "business expenses" into a position to cover all sorts of personal expenses. There is even a plan afoot to allow businesses to purchase prepaid credit cards, give them to whomever and skate on the requirements of providing detailed receipts. Hmmm, THAT sounds real anti-bidness to me.

Labor and skills are a commodity just like a barrel of oil or a bar of soap. Any free-marketeer who is actually honest and true to that belief should defend that concept as actively as any other free market component. Do I hear any takers? LOL - thought not.
